Advice in this article seems to only marginally apply to someone whose measure of success is in an artistic field. You can't get the same marginal returns as the article talks about. Also you're both competing with others for reader's attention, but not competing with anyone, as your stories can only be made by you.
What are the legal consequences if the records have been destroyed? And the reporter will answer any questions, but there are no notes, files, recordings, etc? Surely "contempt of court" isn't a life sentence?
Is there any consideration for the health effects of carrying a carcinogen in their beaks? Cigarette butts are _nasty_ and also poisonous.
That happens in San Francisco, too. You'll on occasion even see someone on the local public transit with a big trash bag full of bottles. I guess they're on their way to a redemption center for the deposit.
Comments and feedback won't work for a site with a lot of readers or viewers, they don't scale. If just 20k people read your post, and one-quarter of them comment, you'll be flooded and not able to find anything meaningful. I'm already following some YT channels where the creator(s) has stated, "we can't read the comments, requests here are ignored."
Good uplifting answer. But it is for what can lead to a hobby, rather than a career. Even certificates from MOOCs won't lead to a job in science, researcher or not.

As for "careers in science", what can someone later in life (I just turned 60, can't believe it) still do? I have a CS degree from ages ago, and have a scientific mindset (runs in my family, e.g., my sister was a research scientist [mathematician] before retirement). I don't want to retire anytime soon. But I'm unlikely to get into grad school. I can take MOOCs of course, and do. My interest in science tends toward neurology and embodiment.
Now that the city is occupied by the Turks, why haven't they used it? It's a bit late now (and many buildings are no doubt no longer safe), but why didn't they use it then? There's a lot of investment in the structures in the city.
