I don't know what's going on with Samsung's QA process. Their cellphone apps are buggy, their newest flagship cellphone has a design flaw that is still being root-caused after global recall, now another hardware design flaw in washing machine.

But today, a complain from my friend who works in Samsung Research America at MTV may explain something: on his posted screenshot, the boss sent an email to ask them to fix bugs during the weekends...

I always feel confused when people say diversity in working place, esp. now in IT. I am totally fine with a company that hires people based only on their professional skills. Bringing race/color/gender etc into account, no matter inclusive or exclusive, is discrimination IMO. Talking about diversity in work and increasing diversity in work are also discrimination IMO.

This is a great example of how theory enthusiasts ignore practical world. Think about similar ironic claim by a C++11 guy: Haskell, I see a lambda in your future!

I think Google initiatives and effectiveness are being killed by hiring more and more some KIND of persons. That KIND of persons has killed MS and many other IT companies in US. Now they are killing Google. Once an IT company occasionally hires one of them, those guys will hire more and more their KIND, spend significant money and efforts on doing something just wasting resources but the management level are marketed to trust.

You don't want Facebook to post an announcement say "I am watching a video on makeMEpleasure.xxx, and I like it because I visit this website ten times per day." or have Facebook recommend you with potential same-flavor friends or pages, which include something making more guys happy.
