Looks pretty cool. Personally prefer the Read [1] chrome extension approach, as it has a minimal UI and sits on top of the page. Also, think the red color is slightly distracting, when north of 700 WPM.

Plivo sip implementation is great, played with their API, on a few side projects and their documentation is straight forward.

Support is excellent, highly recommend their sip API. Especially since they are showing devs a ton of love,

It was in the second page of the invite request form, I believe the qualifying question was in regard to your interest to applying for a job at YC startup. Second page requested your resume, at least for me.

The original invitation did clearly state it was geared towards jobs seekers under the premise of a meetup. YC even asked for your resume, and one of the qualifying questions was related to your interest to apply. Not sure why OP is surprised.

PG delivered, if you observe his prior interviews you will notice that is his style. Personally, it feels authentic, and transparent. A trait many speakers lack.

The serendipitous nature of the event added to the allure, it encouraged folks to have a conversation.

Video department could of used some help but that's just nitpicking.

This all comming from someone who didn't get invited, yet drove from Philly, one of the first one there, waited in line, and was magically allowed in.

A key selling point in platform selection is YouTube's massive traffic, while tons of other platforms may win based on the feature set, at the end of the day, the views are on YouTube.

Vidyard seems to be playing the youtube traffic angle well by allowing the videos to remain on YouTube while wrapping the YT API + chrome less layer.

It's been a long time overdue.

As both a YouTube and Ustream partner, I'm interested in how this could change the advertising revenues for live events. Ustream uses google's adsense, so it would be hard for ustream to match YouTube's ad split.

The apple tv was also released in October, that could also attribute to the growth.

If xbmc can run on appleTV 2, then a boxee port should be around the corner. Let's hope, as I love boxe's simplicity, in its ability to auto organize the entire library.

My main concern is how do you plan to compete with YouTube? They offer a rentals marketplace which may still be in beta. Also, they have serious money behind their technology for large scale streaming, and currently have a majority of the traffic in that space.

While, I agree old media needs to reexamine their business models, leaving the google index is a temporary band-aid, that does not solve the real problem. Murdoch, should focus on creating more value for his products. Paywalls, make sense when enough value is created, justifying the subscription cost.

In my eyes this is good news for entrepreneurs, its a lot easier to innovate when the giant is distracted trying to revive its old biz model.

As a content creator, I feel copyright as we know it is flawed, and hinders the virility of content to gain exposure. The world is filled with wholesomely good people,and artist will always be compensated one way or another. Artists convey feelings and emotions that offer each individual a unique interpretation. The movies I love, you may hate. Some people would pay thousands for a specific painting, that may be worthless to me. The variable pricing model that Nine Inch Nails made popular seems more in tune with the 21st century.

I second that. Google Voice + Gizmo5 is working pretty well for me on the iphone using siphon. Free incoming calls (gVoice click to call), call quality is not to shabby, slight delay but its manageable. without using any cell minutes.
