Talent definitely exists.

However, it takes more than talent to achieve things in life.

Most successful people in any industry leveraged some talent, with drive, persistence and LUCK to become successful.

Facebook owns mobile advertising space. Their ad targeting data is part of duopoly with google, which owns search targeting data.

Facebook and google both needs to be broken up with anti-trust rules.

These days “facts” are politicized to further political agenda and push a narrative.

Inconvenient “facts” are hidden and censored from platforms.

News people don’t tell the news and truth tellers don’t tell the truth.

The competition look is wringing out that last 10%. Women can maintain the 90% look indefinitely with basic maintenance diet and exercise. The basic Instagram model plan.

The extremes is what’s interesting, that they only go through the cycle if there’s competition. And, it’s fascinating to see in person how their bodies can balloon up so fast.

Many women choose to do Figure and Bikini competitions over physique.

Lots of women use the competitions as focal point to work on their bodies, fitness and get results.

I know several women that are generally out of shape frumpy looking, but spent time to get into shape for figure completions. They look amazing with model perfect bodies for competition. Then, right after competition, they celebrate by binge eating junk food for days and get fat. Then, the cycle starts over again.

Not only this, but very few people even ask the simple question, how do I become a better software engineer.

The four quadrants of competence applies.

Q1. Unconscious Incompetence. Q2. Conscious Incompetence. Q3. Conscious competence. Q4. Unconscious Competence.

Most people never leave Q1 phase, just muddling through their career and stagnate or burn out.

It takes lot of effort to jump from Q1 to Q2 and become aware how difficult things are in reality. Some take effort to become better and these types will usually succeed over time.

Lot of senior level people end up in Q3 and it's comfortable zone to be in. But, it takes more significant effort to jump to Q4, where they can gain additional pull to be able to lead and make significant more money.

It's significant journey and the timescale is not linear, it's logarithmic in some situations and extremely long in other situations.

I am clearly stating that raising cows and livestock for meat are better than industrial crops ground up with food coloring and odd shapes.

Eating cow and livestock meat is better for people and environment.

Cows and livestock are great for environment. They eat plants and clear vegetation and the poop converts to nutrients in soil.

People should demand and buy better meat from better farms with better practices.

Cows and livestock eat plants and convert into meat. It’s natural and organic and proven process that’s been around for thousands of years.

Ground up plants with food colorings and odd shapes are not meat.

Theranos. When the benefits of fraud greatly outweighs cost of fraud, companies and people will commit fraud.

HSBC money laundering for criminal cartels. Big companies will commit outright crimes and when caught, simply pay some fines that is much less than the profit.

How does the market differentiate between money losing startup, like Amazon of past, and some money losing penny stock pitching free energy electric car engine, aka perpetual engine ? Lots of muddy waters and shady regulations that hide many fraudulent companies preying on people.

Sounds like usability instead of QA.

QA is orderly process of utilizing techniques to create instability in stable systems.

Everything has a breaking point. QA is finding out if the breaking point is above specified threshold or not.

QA knows anything can be broken at some point. The job of QA is to verify that it meets specified criteria under certain stress conditions and document them.

QA is more than randomly pushing buttons hoping to pop open the box.

Apple and Google made business decision to be gatekeepers to their platforms. This resulted in great profit for the companies, but at great cost of user freedoms.

Many people have celebrated Apple and Google censor and deplatform their competition and others with political bias. It’s a private company, they can do whatever they want.

Pakistan is private country, they can do whatever they want. Now, they are using their powers to force Apple and Google censor and deplatform.

Slippery slope is slippery and water is wet. As the saying goes, power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Google has become too big as company and has to be broken up by anti-trust rules, along with many other FAANG companies that ballooned up in recent years.

It's laughable that Microsoft was under anti-trust scrutiny when they were much smaller company. The Microsoft anti-trust situation created enough lanes for smaller companies at the time, like Google, Apple, etc. to gain traction.

The situation is the same now, anti-trust rules are in place to promote healthy competition at all levels. All these big companies has to be broken up under anti-trust rules to further competition in technology space.

The neighbors sounds like vigilant people that are very engaged in safer neighborhood and keep the community engaged. Most likely, these neighbors are the reason for increase in safer neighborhood.

Why do you choose to live in this neighborhood? People can choose to live in less engaged neighborhood.

Have you wondered how and why the area is so safe? Have you wondered why houses are so expensive in your neighborhood?

It’s safer because of the vigilant neighbors reporting crime and keeping community engaged. The increased safety increase house values, because people want to live in safe neighborhoods.

Ask yourself or your parents why they chose to move to the neighborhood and still live there? The safe neighborhood is likely the top reason.

Not enough money goes to good teachers and too much money goes to bad teachers.

Teachers unions enable bad teachers by excusing their behavior. Doesn't do much to help good teachers.

What does teachers unions do to help good teachers become better teachers and helping students?

Teachers unions help bad teachers by preventing vast majority from being fired for being bad teachers. Everyone knows who the bad teachers are in the system.

Teachers unions make money by controlling the teachers and politicians in the system.

This sounds very judgmental about NextDoor users. They are voicing their concerns about their neighborhood and community. Why do you have to say anything about their community, especially if you don't live there?

You also have the right to voice concerns about your neighborhood and community. I would assume you want others to respect your right to voice your concerns, just as they would expect you to respect their right to voice their concerns.

Please download and use a standard theme pack for blogs, paid ones are usually better.

If you know visual designer, discuss the contrast aspects of your site design.

Amazon is getting too big as a business. It needs to be broken up by anti-trust rules. It's not afraid to break common good business practices, because it's too big to fail and punish with normal business backlash. The politician are mainly bought off by Amazon and company.

Pulling these kind of shenanigans is simply cost of doing business. When they get caught, they just shrug and pull some other shenanigans.

Most large holdings are public record. Anyone can see which institutions held what positions.

Everyone knew who stood to gain and who stood to lose in the short squeeze.

WSB crows was going after the short squeeze, anyone that got gains just rode the wave and knew when to step off or not.

There are reasons why terms like 10x engineer, Rockstar engineer, Ninja engineers are thrown about in the industry.

Google paid Anthony Levandowski $120 Million to lead their autonomous car project, before he went to Uber and the legal troubles. Uber was paying him more than Google.

Facebook paid $16 Billion for What's App, which only had around 50 engineers at the time. Facebook was buying the IP and the productive software engineering members of the team.

There are countless other examples.

No amount of management process can create productive software engineers. That's why companies recruit productive software engineers from other companies. That's why companies buy other companies that has productive software engineers with proven products.

Productive Software Engineers are exceptional. Their work are worth Trillions of dollars and generates Billions of dollars in revenue every year.

The process of abstracting away people into units of productivity is common approach to Software Engineering management.

It has failed every time.

When the latest management fad fails to live up to expectations, new terminology are created to hide the failed management fad. New terminology simply replaces the old terminology and they can now sell new and improved management concepts again and again.

Software Engineering is extremely difficult. That's why successful Software Engineering companies are highly valued as unicorns. The companies have temporarily captured the right type of people tackling right type of problems and delivered right type of Software Engineering solutions. The process can not be replicated. That's why it's so valuable and worth Trillions of dollars.

There's no other Microsoft. There's no other Apple. There's no other Google.

These are unique companies with unique products that provide value to customers. It took years and decades of Software Engineering man hours to iterate until they delivered the valuable software solutions.

Lot of these Software Engineering management fads are trying to capture something that does not exist.

Productive Software Engineers are exceptional. Sooner Software Engineers understand that paradigm, the better they will be able to value themselves and be more effective.
