I think the limitation here is more with the process nodes then with the GPU architecture

Containers is not a replacement for profiles, they are completely separate use cases. Those who use multi-profile do so because they want separate bookmarks, settings, etc (e.g. personal profile vs work profile)... which containers cannot do.

Really happy that they are finally improving multi-profile support

The CPU requirements are because they wanted to enable virtualization based security by default and have it be performant.

This is why I use firefox, you can just un-check 'show search suggestions ahead of browser history in addressbar results'

for me it works when signed into one google account but not another

The release cycle is absolutely nothing to do with chasing version numbers.

It's about being able to ship new features when they are ready, instead of waiting for a 'major' new version.

This release cycle makes the most sense for 'evergreen' software like a web browser. There's a reason why every major browser has adopted it.

The only version that matters for a web browser is the 'latest' version.

I'm not a programmer myself, but it's my understanding that chromium is pretty well suited to being embedded.

Just look at how successful chromium has been in this space, stuff like Chromium Embedded framework, Electron, the myriad of chromium based web browsers etc...

Anecdotally, as a PC gamer I've seen my fair share of people having constant mic issues on windows. Sometimes mics are just a pain in the ass.

It's still pretty annoying though. And even if you disable those ads in the settings, it seems like the preference randomly gets switched back on every other time you update windows

It's been a few releases since I used fedora, but I don't recall ever seeing any kind of ads in the apps menu... and the vast majority of linux distros don't have any of that kind of garbage

ublock is actively maintained, and afaik they have been working on a webextensions version, so I assume they'll be ready by then if not soon after.

In the meantime ublock works fine and is e10s compatible.

even chrome doesn't do one process per tab afaik, if I recall they do something closer to process per domain

ublock will work fine with e10s. It's not a webextension yet, but it is e10s compatible already
