I love that NASA is hiring, I worry this is because NASA doesn't have funding.
BattleEye kernel module in 3 2...
I believe it's a bit more nuanced than that. Both democrats and republicans have had enough power to make meaningful changes to prevent such a wealth gap and thus the wealthy play both parties. I do see democrats trying to help people have a better life (medicare for all, etc), but the wealth gap grew nometheless. Though I do agree with you that republicans don't seem to give a flying fuck about the people these days, which does make it worse IMHO. Regardless, both parties enabled the wealth gap and is why the fight is the 99.99% against the 0.01%. The US needs to kill citizens united and take money out of politics, I think that'd be a huge step forward...and yet, it is basically impossible because the 0.01% have the power.
To be fair, you don't need to slay giants to be a viable product.
For forms of income. E.g. with paid apps/gadgets/tools for everyday use (outside of dev tools) with chatgpt embedded.

What else were you expecting?
some of us were hoping for actual innovation, not more ads
The article has an upfront agenda-so at least it's honest in some regard?
they can give the tv powers to autoconnect to public/open networks and can partner with companies like Comcast to get more access points. It's best not to buy a smart TV
Why does it need to be on the web? Maybe I've missed something, can I run this locally?

Having experienced AI at $job and having tried to make vibecodong a thing, run when you see it. Yes, that means good enough AI gets through, what's the harm in that if it works as you need it to?
I think we gotta hacker

If you click to skip over, even clicking every minute, you're still not grabbing the whole thing, right? Whereas downloading is grabbing every second.
Wouldn't that mean everyone owns it then (wrt copyright)? Not just the generator and Anthropic?
In the US, at least, the works generated by "AI" are not copyrightable. So for my layman's understanding, they may claim ownership, but it means nothing wrt copyright.
(though patents, trademarks are another story that I am unfamiliar with)
So more middlemen to make the cunsumer pay even more, joy.
It's loosely explained deep down in the article.
The article doesn't mention how spicy his OnlyFans account is, but I'm assuming his OF content is such that it would be hard to argue it doesn't qualify as "indecent" or "immoral."
What is indecent or immoral is almost entirely subjective. Some cultures approve of cannabalism. Some do not see breasts as sexual. Some see sex as a rite and something to acheive. Some see dominance as moral (i.e. only the strong shall lead). Random murder is the closest society has come to an universal moral, even then, what seems random could be killings to save face for the family.
Morality is exceptionally tricky at the global scale. The Olympics body is imposing their morals, not everyone's morals.
Practically, anything besides what Schumer does?
You bring up some good points. I guess I was too absolute in my statement as I didn't intend to imply it was the only problem. Given that, Windows gaining ads (nevermind the number of settings panels/windows, etc), games being released broken or loot box driven, google search once being good and now being ad driven, and a myriad of other problems have caused the downfall as well. So the big players are part of the problem too.
Good enough is how everything went to shit (enshitification). "It's an MVP? Good enough, ship it and bolt on features no one wants." Personally, I am very tired of "good enough." I wish we built great things.
Get ready to see a lot more hotfixes...
I can see where you may get that idea, but I believe the point was supposed to be: just because it is done, it doesn't mean you can do it too. And that also doesn't mean it's ok for corporations to do it, they just have an easier time than the common person because our society runs and money and they have (much!) more of it.
True, but it's still a bet, no?
Can you all help me understand this argument? We have stats upon stats to help us predict outcomes in sports and we call that betting. We have stats upon stats to help us predict outcomes in elections, but we can't call that betting?
I admit I am out of depth here. What is the difference?
Just a tiny nit, 10x more of 0 is still 0. Your point still makes sense though

I, too, am saddened by this gatekeeping. IIUC custom browsers (or user-agent) from scratch will never work on cloudflare sites and the like until the UA has enough clout (money, users, etc) to sway them.
