Hey, wanna potential future at something amazong while you work for free (basically)? /s

I love that NASA is hiring, I worry this is because NASA doesn't have funding.

I believe it's a bit more nuanced than that. Both democrats and republicans have had enough power to make meaningful changes to prevent such a wealth gap and thus the wealthy play both parties. I do see democrats trying to help people have a better life (medicare for all, etc), but the wealth gap grew nometheless. Though I do agree with you that republicans don't seem to give a flying fuck about the people these days, which does make it worse IMHO. Regardless, both parties enabled the wealth gap and is why the fight is the 99.99% against the 0.01%. The US needs to kill citizens united and take money out of politics, I think that'd be a huge step forward...and yet, it is basically impossible because the 0.01% have the power.

For forms of income. E.g. with paid apps/gadgets/tools for everyday use (outside of dev tools) with chatgpt embedded.

The article doesn't mention how spicy his OnlyFans account is, but I'm assuming his OF content is such that it would be hard to argue it doesn't qualify as "indecent" or "immoral."

What is indecent or immoral is almost entirely subjective. Some cultures approve of cannabalism. Some do not see breasts as sexual. Some see sex as a rite and something to acheive. Some see dominance as moral (i.e. only the strong shall lead). Random murder is the closest society has come to an universal moral, even then, what seems random could be killings to save face for the family.

Morality is exceptionally tricky at the global scale. The Olympics body is imposing their morals, not everyone's morals.

You bring up some good points. I guess I was too absolute in my statement as I didn't intend to imply it was the only problem. Given that, Windows gaining ads (nevermind the number of settings panels/windows, etc), games being released broken or loot box driven, google search once being good and now being ad driven, and a myriad of other problems have caused the downfall as well. So the big players are part of the problem too.

I can see where you may get that idea, but I believe the point was supposed to be: just because it is done, it doesn't mean you can do it too. And that also doesn't mean it's ok for corporations to do it, they just have an easier time than the common person because our society runs and money and they have (much!) more of it.

Can you all help me understand this argument? We have stats upon stats to help us predict outcomes in sports and we call that betting. We have stats upon stats to help us predict outcomes in elections, but we can't call that betting?

I admit I am out of depth here. What is the difference?
