Very small deepseek:r1 (5GB) does 'feel' ambiguity

In many car washes, you drive up to the bay, but 50 meters is extremely close; it might be that the car is already at the entrance or something. It doesn’t specify that they must use the car wash; it just mentions that the car wash is 50 meters away, but they could wash the car elsewhere.

but it doesn't seem to figure out that car and human are in the same location. Quite funny imho https://brontosaurusrex.github.io/2026/02/17/Should-I-walk-o...

Switched as well, with "alias j='z'" seems to be 1:1 replacement so far. Also did 'zoxide import --from=autojump ".local/share/autojump/autojump.txt" --merge'.

Is there a version of this that would support my custom presets for AVC/HEVC mp4 encoding with video filters like deinterlace/resize and similar (and/or audio filters like ebu R128)? (p.s. Also my usual input type is cinefrom/mov, which this one is not happy with for some reason)

Groving up: Papillon (Henri Charrière - 1969) & Samurai! (Saburo Sakai -1957) Lately: Project Hail Mary (Andy Weir - 2021) Obviously: Hackers: Heroes of the Computer Revolution - 25th anniversary edition (Steven Levy - 1984/2010) also: I've read all the books from David Thorne, last one: Let’s Eat Grandma’s Pills (David Thorne - 2022)

Some do, mostly when the problem they are trying to solve is somewhere in my blog past. I've learned over the years not to advertise the blog/page, due to weird questions I get, for example: Q: How costly is this? (A: it's free, minus my time), Q: Why is it so ugly? (A: When you write your perfect jekyll skin, I will use it, you know it's about my future self searching for the info, not about beauty), Q: Why? (A: I always find something interesting to read in my blog, unlike your corporate page). p.s. The long-tail effect has been predicted at least 20 years ago, so I understand that views will be low or none: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Long_tail

Two domain focused examples: Blender material node: I could imagine certain material nodes to be highly annoying to script (or even represented differently than nodes), even something relatively simple like this https://i.imgur.com/kETcJYE.png (nodes), https://i.imgur.com/eddAhcv.png (final render) Fusion comp node: On the other hand, this seems like a lot of blocks for this simple image: https://i.imgur.com/ftfHngt.png (Cool thing about Fusion is that any node can be copy/pasted to notepad as text and vise-versa) Note: I'am neither Blender nor Fusion expert.

Very interesting, thanks for building/sharing (I imagine you are the author of this page?). Questions I would have: a. Is it possible to dig out the exact cli command used for each of this encodings? b. With libavif, did you test film-grain-test and what are your findings if any? c. With libavif, did you test denoise-noise-level and what are your findings if any? Of course I have no wish to put you into any homework mode, so feel free to ignore this.

It is hard to sit down and start, so I usually trick myself with: 'I will just draw one line today and the rest can follow tomorrow'. Once you get going is always more than one line (I'm an amateur Blender user, so 2 lines are already a polygon). This stuck with me (volume, not 'quality'); https://www.blenderguru.com/articles/7-habits-highly-effecti... p.s. And after N lines * N completed pictures you will automagically know what you want. In my case certain image will form (or an idea) - this could take days/weeks, this are usually small and stupid, but that doesn't prevent me from realization (or at least an attempt) - it's all just for /me.

Some 'latest' books I actually enjoyed:

Based on a True Story: (Not) A Memoir (Norm Macdonald - 2016) - Humor

Deadlines Don’t Care if Janet Doesn’t Like Her Photo (David Thorne - 2021) - Humor (And other books by David Thorne)

The Man from the Future: The Visionary Life of John von Neumann (Ananyo Bhattacharya - 2022) - Documentary

Memory Machines - The Evolution of Hypertext (Belinda Barnet) - Kinda about how the web was born and about interesting dead branches

Simple Sabotage Field Manual - really funny https://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/26184

A wordpress example from some time ago: Don't have user named 'admin' + plugin that generated random 'login.php reroute' and some more that I can' remember now. Good example of obscurity on extremely popular software (at the time)? I'd imagine it would certainly bounce lots of hacking scripts.

Well, I uploaded 12 jpegs representing a short video cut that I'am working in and after quite some clicking and trying then to get the LUTs out, I was told I need to upgrade my free plan, 20 minutes lost, but learned something new I guess.
