I used to work at an airport listed in this reference actually. Their boneyard was fully behind the fence and no public access would be granted. Even as staff we never went there because you've got massive aging equipment.
It would be an untenable liability to be having around them especially the public. Some of the chassis were there for years.

Pretty common method these days to build something just for the task at hand and consider deployment immutable requiring a new build of the ISO.

Lots of historical precedent for an intellectual elite ignoring the perception and needs of the common folk leading to an uprising.
I'd imagine every great(in scale/importance) uprising/political tumult had some aspect of "but they're ruining everything!"
Everything for intellectuals and people with ties to the system that was functioning for that minority.
Coal miners don't care that international students aren't coming to the US anymore. That's not an important factor for them.
Edit: My point here is that you don't need hindsight to see how this aligns with historic precedent.

Are you familiar with FizzBee. I think formal methods is already very hot right not with more demand for proving AI generated code isn't garbage.
(Even if you're hand writing people are going to assume or suspect it's LLM gen.)

I had my problem in the calisthenic app space as well. Rowing, cycling, biking, calisthenics. Each sport has such specifics I wish there was an open standard on the data for better interop.

I have paid for to do apps to try and tackle this by using the NLP "every 3 months" etc to basically accomplish this.
I think you're smart to spin it out to its own thing because I tend to use them differently batching my chores into a time gate and then using my "chore list" to know what needs to be done. And also the notifications for chores tend to distract from "Important one time task you don't want to forget".
I'd consider paying for this if the app was well done and reasonably priced.

Gemma4 being able to run on commodity hardware I think is the real win out of this. Pop the bubble. Settle the craziness and the claws. Let scientists and engineers tinker and improve in the background. Hopefully we can have GPUs be affordable for gaming again although I'm starting to think that will never happen.
Besides to say that your competitor can turn around and hire the same team of PHDs at the same rate that you can. Compare and contrast PHD's on leaderboards and have access in seconds with a new API key or model selector.
Granted LLM's are not even PHDs.

I am seeing non technical people getting involved building apps with Claude. After the Openclaw and other Agentic obsession trends I just don't see it pragmatic to continue down the road of AI obsession.
In most other aspects of life my skills were valuated because of my ability to care about details under the hood and the ability to get my hands dirty on new problems.
Curious to see how the market adapts and how people find ways to communicate this ability for nuance.
