Not OP, but can answer. At its best, the band tracks relatively well to my chest strap. However, it's not 100% consistent - Some days the band seems to bounce around while my chest monitor is steady in the expected range. With that said, the band is close enough that I roll with it alone for my normal short runs(~5k) and only bother with the strap for longer distances. YMMV.

So < 10% discrepancy and they didn't wait for it to fully finish registering? Given that and the fact that calorie labels are presumably not precise(e.g., every Snickers isn't exactly the same), this seems pretty exciting. I've been trying not to get too excited about this device because of all of the negative press, but this is very promising.

This has been my experience as well. Their order chain seems nowhere near as streamlined as Amazon's, and their Customer Service / Return chain has been dismal for me. They aren't anywhere near a competitor to Amazon in my experience, marketplace or no.
