That's a noble idea, but you must be joking thinking you are going to be able to build a sub $1000 trailer home with basic tools. The steel for the trailer alone will cost $1k on top of $200 for a decent welder. Factor in lumber, nails, windows, roofing, waterproofing, etc.

What total square footage are you aiming for?

There are just some people in this world that have the reputation and thoroughness that makes you only want to learn new things from that one person. Hartl is one of the few. Thanks and can't wait for the rest!

This is a great start and I think the presenter has a good, clear and precise tone. I don't think the audio is as bad as some of the people have made it out to be, but a decent mic probably wouldn't hurt.

One thing I would like to see that I'm spoiled from Railscasts is a quick summary of what you will be doing and the results that were achieved prior to the tutorial starting.

Thirding this comment. I had my first experience last week and it was by far the absolute worst online experience I've ever had. Absolutely no automated processes outside of the scheduling, no quality control, and their 'solution specialists' not making things right in the end. I ended up having to file my first chargeback with my bank.
