While I don't think they'd be so heavy handed, I do agree that lifting content directly from their website and using it as part of your application probably wont give the best first impression. Also it looks like you're using a standard web palette in your GIFs which is causing the ugly dithering effect.
As far as I am aware, the link to the comments section appears as 'discuss' until there are one or more comments, at which point it changes to 'x comments'.
I'm quite partial to LeechBlock for Firefox, personally. I can set certain times of day when my 'procrastinating' sites are available, give myself 5 minutes per hour to slack off, and (sort-of) prevent myself from disabling it too easily.

I don't really like to take traffic away from a site but that is horribly designed. I could only scroll with PGUP/DN due to the stupid control bar to the right.
Lightweight and straightforward - I like it. Looks great on my iphone, but there seems to be a bug where whenever I check off an item, it moves the next item to the top and checks it as well.
Actually, 'spam' in the electronic sense is apparently linked to a Monthy Python sketch involving a restraunt where everything contains Spam. From Wikipedia: In the 1980s the term was adopted to describe certain abusive users who frequented BBSs and MUDs, who would repeat "Spam" a huge number of times to scroll other users' text off the screen. In early chat rooms ..., they actually flooded the screen with quotes from the Monty Python Spam sketch.
One could therefore argue that uppercase is the correct presentation.
More than anything, learning to code taught me how to break a daunting problem down into manageable components. While most children learning how to make a text adventure game in Python on a Raspberry Pi today won't be software engineers tomorrow, I do believe that the learning process will have taught them invaluable problem solving skills that they'll end up using every single day, regardless of their chosen career path.
