As far as fanless micro computers go, they usually tend to go with an enclosed design with the unit itself acting as a giant heat sink. However, with this many disks, maybe it needs an open design? Possibly only for cost.

We are also not taught how to make the decision to GTFO. I've recently had to make such a decision and really had no prior experience to based anything on. It was a completely new experience.

This actually brings up a good point. Does this affect IMAP users or any users that not using an Google Gmail App? (iOS, Web, Android, etc) My guess is no?
If you include cheap-o VPS like DigitalOcean into the Rails hosting, then yes you can get it for $5. But then the money you're saving will go into setting up the instance.
I think he (or she) has more to gain since all of the beginning blocks were mined and probably owned by him.
