How much a year or what’s your bill like for setup and maintenance?

I burn out at 28 years. Now I just improve one block of code a day. Sign off and sleep till tomorrow; awaiting my death of course.

I understand AWS is the bread and butter of Amazon. Their infrastructure to run a book store as consumer goods was a good move.

AWS is over engineered. It took me 12 mins to learn how to turn on an instance 4 years ago.

When I was learning,by randomly clicking, I apparently open up machines in 6 different locations. Got a bill for computers I didn’t know where on, which I haven’t ssh into.

I called the service and they pointed out all the instances; the customer service representative knew this was a common issue for beginners. My money was refunded.

Nowadays, they have global views.

AWS is extremely complicated just so you can SSH into it. Come on. Not cool.

I mirror trades between Alpaca and Robin Hood. When my bot executes trades on alpaca. 90% of the time it’s exactly what is quoted at that time. Example: If my account value is $30,000. I sell all at market. I get $30,000(-$0.01 fee for selling) so I get 29,999.99

The same quote executed on Robinhood. I lose %0.21 or %0.51 on my account value. Example: If my account value is $30,000. I sell all at market. I get $29,937.

You may say. Bruh. Just use limit order. Limit orders sometimes don’t get filled. On alpaca, it gets filled. Robinhood market orders takes away your gains.

You may think I’m joking. But I’m not. Last year. I got an email from RobinHood addressing it and crediting my account. This year. It’s worst.

I once reversed engineered Bloomberg paid api in iOS to get articles in terminal.

2 months later. The api started miss matching article dates, breaking the articles in different segments; making it difficult to put together.

It depends. If your child age 12-16 years shows interest in programming. Purchase all the smartphones for them to learn to code. Or a raspberry pi.

You are correct. It’s been almost 2 years since the lockdown. During that time, I downloaded apps like crazy. Maybe 500 apps.

They all offered me a free trial, I took it.

Mistakes where made, due to apple auto renewal, my card was charged ~$1,000 within that month. Luck for me. Chase bank detected all as fraud and blocked the card. I disputed the $160.11 for the apps that “force billed” and won the case.

I have downloaded close to 1TB worth of data on my iPhone. To delete all these apps will take hours. To cancel the subscription isn’t easy. Apple designed it in a way, for each app you download. You have to manually go into settings and cancel it.

Imagine downloading 500 apps in one month. No way I’m i manually disabling auto renewal.

Thanks to PayPal, I created an account that literally has zero dollars that apps can auto renewal and fail.

I did the math. Total cost of all the apps subscription since 2019-2022 on my device.

$57,060.01.

Glad PayPal is blocking these automated renewal. Because I’m not going to manually cancel ~500 apps.
