WoW is coming back I think! Metzen is back and the classic wow team seems to know what they're doing and are developing in good faith. SoD is the best thing to happen to WoW in years imo
Been using Linux as my daily driver for 5 years and have never seen a Kernel panic, so there's probably no drive to do it :P
I think the point is that the Linux command line is more functional and easier to navigate than the Windows command prompt
Is there a difference between memorization + stochastic parroting if it is indistinguishable from human understanding?
If a hunk of metal looks like a car, sounds like a car, and drives like a car is it a car?
Printers Dishwashers Washing machines
The unholy Trinity of appliance hell. Every brand that makes these has issues. If you get 3-5 years of use out of any of them (post ~2005) you're lucky.
I'm firmly convinced that every washing machine or dishwasher brand just wants to steal from you
That's the nice thing about ai though, it could be tailored to your experience and learn so you do. For example if you are progressing on pace with similar learners it could apply a different learning program or vary course materials until it sees improvement
This guy is clearly trolling
Can't blame the programmer for that - Windows shouldn't allow the programmer to do stupid shit
So - the moral of the story is to never use Windows?
Same - I use Arch on my desktop and SteamOS (arch) on steam deck, I have had 0 issues with game compatibility in ~ 2 years
Hahaha - love it, person went on a massive rant and didn't even read the article
If you liked legends and lattes, check out the Cradle series by will wight. Travis Baldtree narrates the audiobooks!
It's like people are being intentionally obtuse in this thread, almost like there's a bunch of paid shills
Let's read your list and consider which of those options hosts long form video content
Reddit: a link aggregator, not a video hosting site Tiktok: Chinese data collection machine that hosts very short form videos Instagram: data collection machine that hosts pictures your mom likes and short form videos Twitch: focused on streaming and gaming, not a YouTube competitor
Wow, really displaying your ignorance here lol
The SpaceX flights are way more efficient and reproducible than the Apollo missions ever were. The only reason they aren't regularly going to the moon is that there isn't a strong incentive to do so.
Valve is a private company, so it would probably be after gaben leaves the company
He looks like he was in a goth band while he was getting really good grades at one of Canada's top business schools
You can play Zork with chatgpt
Tons of people were using lead paint and asbestos insulation, why did we ban those products?
My issue with factorio is that I'll not play it for a few days and then I'll just lose all of a Saturday to it
How do you feel about react native?
As a career mobile developer I honestly can't tell the difference between a well made react native app and a true native app
Consumer grade vehicles and industrial vehicles are very different things
Combustion engines will be around for the next 100 years, even if human society mostly collapsed
Dude hasn't even built his own keyboard, definitely not an obsession
Just want to echo other comments, thanks so much for bitwarden I've been using it for years and it has changed my family's life. Even managed to get my aging parents to use it instead of their paper notebook
solved in the 90s
Ya, you know, unless you didn't speak English, needed accessibility, had a nonstandard screen size, had a touch screen, etc
It seems like you're being needlessly confrontational
Usually people take notes for a reason, they don't just take notes and toss them
Tell me you've only ever played on consoles without telling me youve only ever played on consoles lol
This is one of the most out of touch aggressive replies I've ever seen
As someone who worked in food service in a major city, we 100% had a homeless person who came in and destroyed the bathroom multiple times. Everyone who worked there knew him and felt bad for the guy, but we had to ask him to leave when we saw him come in because he would do things like what the other commenter described.
I imagine if tech companies continue to force the rto issue they will continue losing talent to other companies
Anecdotally I'm currently in the process of leaving a tech company and joining a legacy fortune 500, where I'll be full time WFH.
Any chance you could post a community control scheme that's pretty close? I love factorio but haven't gotten a good intuitive control scheme set up on my deck
