even beyond that the DNS works fine but the filtering would be turned off.
the problem is some employees of these organisations dont think like that
do they not verify the recovery email before account activation? how do you not provide a real recovery mail?
you need to check your terminal emulator.
just checked the ctrl+thift+arrow keybind, works on alacritty but doesnt on kitty.
and shift+up/down works on both

not always because they sucked.
Some were replaced by cheaper, easy to mass produce but somewhat inferior products.
Others by some insane reasons by manufacturers to increase their profits or differentiate amongst themselves, pushing for thinner, lighter devices. i would gladly use bulkier devices for better specs and reparability.
a webcam cover or a simple sticky note should work well when not in use. why risk assuming all who has access to your data are ethical?
the article is based on Amazons document and not based on subjective personal experiences.
"amazon lagging behind flipkart" comment was in regards to market penetration in smaller towns. Given that all the gier 1 cities are well covered by the tech giants the next market to tap into would be the small cities and towns. the arsicle indicates thats where amazon it falling behind flipkart in making progress.
why would we want to?
far as I remember, dodo evolved from a south asian bird that adapted to an island with abundant food and no competition. if they were alive today preserving them would mean establishing an uninhabited island that wouldnt get any predators where they can thrive.
but there already are many species like that that could use our help.
some already exists but adoption rate is slow for few reasons like not needed for most people or the type of content they host, the crawbacks compared to off-the-shelf hostings when you don't need a censor proof solution, no standard or stable solution ( multiple new products keeps proping up).
The technology alone will never be enough or widely available if the judicial or legislature keep attacking and restricting their use.
both their release cycles and what they consider as stable might differ and not necessarily mean one is better.
yt-dlp still claims to keep track with the parent project. Most would use it for the additional functionalities it provides over youtube-dl.
Not sure which problem you refer to but it is an active repo that has worked well for the past few months atleast.
As any person, if we start caring about the political or moral affiliations of the makers of every single product we use there doesn't seem to be an efficient, reliable source of such information. I can barely avoid a single company let alone all those I dont agree with.
Beyond a limited number of companies who go against popular opinion (possibly bcos their target customers are too), most are going to publicly support all the same socially acceptable stands. This doesn't mean there are some vile people employed in those positive companies or some decent, well meaning pepole working in the bad companies just for a paycheck. it's hard to judge with a simple look.
As a consumer you are free to support or boycott a product on any criteria that you like but question is how much of a realworld difference their placit support for your cause makes.
didnt they try that with youtube-dl ?
though they were able to partially take down the repo it was brought back after the legality ot their claim was analyzed.
not if tens of thousands does the same all around you.
Mexico city and probably a hundred others are looking at the effects of that.
Many customisations are not possible in Windows let alone requesting any specific feature from the devs.
In cases where I had ti seek forumn help in windows three common scenario were: 1. Well known bug with a simple fix that user has to make.
2. Well known bug that has a weird work around or hacky reg edit.
3. No idea what the cause is and you just reinstall and hope it doesnt reoccur.
And the ltt video was an obsolute joke because they made little to no effort to learn anything about Linux and operated it like they do windows. of course it was such a bad experience. that's what most reaction I saw was too. if you are great at driving automatic but decided to just drive a stick without putting any effort to learn its specific details or the different, that will end horribly. Cant blame the stick car is terrible.
How does free tier of proton VPN compare?
I occasionally use its free tier and I thought the freetier is supported by the paid users. They get higher bandwidths, lots of related features and support while I get to use a basic VPN that is generally privacy oriented.
and suspend services in case of sudden traffic? many companies would not like that
i am only glad that you arent selling cars without safety tests.
i would also be glad that not anyone would make a air traffic control or a train signaling system.
while i like foss programs and have low barriers of entry in any field, there needs to be a minimal standard that everyone shoud adhere to where a system failure could affect someones life beyond minor inconvenience.
also why benefit large corporations by walking around long aisles comparing and choosing items, carying them around and walk back to the entrance?
get those good old shopkeepers to do it while you stand with your list out front.
that cycle will break at the target markets and their price sensitivity.
similar to how current safety mechanisms are implemented. * two airbags, low weight constructions in entry segments targetting higher mileage versus 5+ airbags, advanced manufacturing processes that score high in crash tests and more as the segment price increases.
can running cars be locked without leaving the keyfob inside?
it is. i am one of those who have atleast 100 tab on any workday, more on my personal system. i also use bookmark service like raindrop that have tagging, etc than simple folders.
Main reason for keeping tags are they are a constant reminder of topics to look into. Kinda like postits on your monitor. If I put them away using bookmarks I often forget about them and neder get to them. I have folders with hundreds of links I wanted to look a year back and still haven't.
I do clean out tabs occasionally when I am done with a topic but I mostly only bookmark when having to shutdown the system.
while WSL2 is great for what it is it just doesn't compare to working in a linux distro. there are a lot of pain points where external tools wont always work well with WSL.
I also like the productivity customizations posseble in Linux while the same are difficult or impossible on Windows.
of course if your work is tied into the windows eco system having WSL is good to have.
It is more of the learning curve. Lot more people are familiar with the JS web stacks than
It is always a bad idea to store any amount of important data on a single medium.
Seen too many (including myself at some point) have all their data in one external HDD and pass it around friends with a caution to be safe with their data.
I've lost most of my photo and video collection due to two HDD failures between 2017-2020.
Love how you jump from a naval blockade of taiwan to threatening to nuke the US.
The US might not get involved in an all out war over Taiwan but they are likely to support Taiwan in case China attempts a blockade. The US frequently undertakes freedom of navigation drills and would most likely exercise such rights to circumvent China.
Now, will that escalate to a direct conflict is debatable but any genuine threats of nuking US would probably taken as a declaration of war.
No country is a true democracy nor just that. Every country claiming democracy it an amalgamation of various ideas mixed in varying percentage.
India is a parliamentary democratic secular republic with socialism also thrown in. Most of these ideas are overlapping but also has slighly differing paths.
It is difficult to even agree on one precise definition on what each of these are without a debate ensuing.
That is assuming everyone else is too stupid to make that decision for themselves.
Who gets to decide what is acceptable and what isn't?
Our/society's rights and wrongs has greatly changed over time and that is only possible because of both good and bad ideas being heard.
No one person should be deciding what's acceptable for the whole of soceity. Every individual should hear different ideas, good, bad and terrible, and decide for themselves what/who they agree with.
