A very motivating post. What he said “It became my own job to keep myself alive. Nobody else was going to do it for me at this point” really stayed with me. It’s powerful to see someone take that level of responsibility in such a difficult situation. I also appreciate how his ability to fund his own treatment can end up benefiting the broader community. Wishing him the best. Cancer is awful, and it just took one of my professor life just a few months ago.

I am glad I found this article, as this is a serious issue with AI. Two years ago, I started using AI for studying and also for some personal matters - things you can't talk about with your friends. It turned out that AI always takes your side and makes you feel good. Sometimes, you know what you did was not the best thing, but AI takes your side and you feel good. With AI, people might feel less lonely, they think. But it is actually the start of not connecting with people. It should be a tool that we use for certain reasons, not a tool that drives us. Lets talk to real people and connect.

Amazing case for AI, but I wish there were more details about _why_ he chose the chatbots he did for each task. Would he still have succeeded sticking with just one?
