yeah exactly my question. LDA is probabilistic and very performant if you clean up the documents well. The approach using Bert seems pretty powerful given that you can now cluster based on semantics, not just word occurrence/frequencies as in LDA (though ngrams help). However using a clustering approach would mean that each document is a part of a single topic, rather than being made up of multiple topics. But this is a cool idea nonetheless. [EDIT] quickly checked it out, seems like it uses some kind of soft clustering so documents can occur in many clusters (topics)

We can argue all we want and present other points of view and narratives, but it seems the basic fact is just that the Chinese system is better...at least for these kind of big projects. I couldn't have said it better myself. Completely agree that a lot of these people doing these heinous acts are mental but the media is pushing another narrative, pretty silly and nefarious. I'm as angered as anyone from the Asian community when I see a cowardly attack on the elderly, but the media is making it seem like it's all pre-medidated racism. But take a walk in Harlem or the Bronx and nobody attacking Asians, yet it's a pandemic.

This tool is aimed at mainly administrative folks who want to understand what's going on in their app/company by looking directly at data. Those folks are usually sql oriented, and you can build any ad-hoc query to do pretty deep analysis in sql. That's why being able to visualize things is also key here. Usually you'd do this in an OLAP db but this is a nice "poor mans" way for at least checking out what's going on without switching too much context.

Clearly you aren't really plugged-in to what's really going on. Intel has had multiple missteps both 10nm and 7nm which are both years late and kept getting pushed back. To say TSMC is the real competitor is really silly, AMD's Zen arch is giving intel all kinds of problems, AMD has a solid roadmap...I really don't wanna rehash

The author is reaching here. I don't buy their narrative of how the timeline doesn't support the idea that the bombings did it. There are easy arguments against that position. Additionally, how can the author be certain of what they knew at what time? Don't you think they also had a capable spy network?? At the very least the threat of bombardment would definitely be weighing heavily on their minds.
