I'm surprised to read an obviously AI written article ("This isn't about efficiency—it's about extraction") from a tech/news site. Does anyone else find this weird? It make me question the editors note about how much background research was actually done.

Not a biologist, but my understanding is that the temporal part of the right eye (the part of the right eye closest to the temple and furthest from the nose) is responsible for processing the inner part of the left visual field, and is directly connected to the right hemisphere (no cross-over required).

There is a great browser extension for Chrome/Firefox called "Unhook" which allows you to selectively remove parts of the YouTube UI you find distracting. Personally I have shorts and recommended videos turned off.
