The alternative method is just people ad-hoc tracking the aircraft with their own ADS-B receivers. LADD doesnt allow aircraft to stop broadcasting. Only that data vendors like FlightRadar must respect the privacy requests. But antenna owners can choose to share their data with vendors that dont respect the LADD program in which case there is 0 recourse.

You can buy the antennas for like $100 and share the data in real time with whoever you want.

You do realize you can buy a $100 antenna on Ebay and pull the live-to-the-second location of every airplane in your visible sky, directly from the aircraft, right?

Pure conjecture with no basis other than some loosely associated facts my brain associates and recalls at this moment:

The heat that would otherwise be absorbed by the oceans is being absorbed by earth itself now resulting in magma heating up and liquifying. There is not a small chance that because of the weakening magnetic field on earth, combined with the current high activity on the sun that this is resulting in a cooking of the earth resulting in earths core heating up. Another hint at this occurring is that earth keeps breaking rotational speed records with a new record being set multiple times this year with the most recent just a few days ago. Also see the magnetic poles shifting more rapidly recently. My bet is we start seeing more volcanos pop off soon. There was nearly an 8.0 earthquake just yesterday.

I think that you have a great argument for what they were doing. But one thing to consider too is that the space weather events they launched into were known 2-3 days out. So if it was a concern they would have scrubbed the launch. I think they saw it as a good opportunity for a test and launched even though they knew they would lose some satellites. What was different about the ones successfully launched versus the ones that didnt make it?

That is exactly what happens. In fact, it happens in cycles. There is the sunspot activity cycle which is like every 12 years. Then there is a cycle at around 100 years that has been identified. But then ere are also cycles at even larger time scales around 1500, 6000, and 12000 years. With the 12000 year cycles being the most intense. And we know this because the polar direction and intensity of the magnetic field are recorded at the time a lava deposit solidifies. Which as we know is an ongoing never ending process; there is ALWAYS lava flowing somewhere on earth.
