The solution to this is to build underground garages and more roads.
I really really want to get out of Europe for all this socialist crap. It's getting on my nerves.

So it's okay for them to break the rules because they have escaped the war and at the same time it's wrong for the countries obeying the rules and laws to protect the borders. Because....reasons...
According to these people your parents are at fault :-). They should have either 1) worked in the German factories in Romania and get +200$ more 2) immigrate to Germany to work in the German factories and earn +2000$ more 3) immigrate to Germany and raise you as a German
My point is. Romania should not feel responsible and should not do as Germany dictates.
Romania is trying hard to overcome its corrupt post-communist past but they have a lot of problems to deal with in the first place.
So your fellow europeans are not human beings ? So we save one and let the other starve because we do not hear about it or we do not want to ? Are not you a bit hypocritical ?
Why should Europe feel responsible for these people ? Europe has a ton of problems with roma people and the poor. Why should a newly integrated Syrian cook should earn more than a middle aged women in Romania ?
Why would you learn Emacs if you do only C# or other MS technologies and have already mastered VS.And that was exactly what my comment was about. Emacs is the best general purpose tool that you can tweak to your needs and make it also superior in things of your choosing. VS works well what it was designed for.
Also as an Emacs user working on Windows I have to tell you that Emacs experience and performance is sadly subpar compared to OSX or Linux.
Well. Emacs is trying to be everything and is extremely powerful. VS on the other hand is better in its own domain than Emacs.
I would appreciate blogs about Go being used in MS heavy environments. Interacting with windows dlls is still a black magic to me.
I do not have the statistics but you can earn that much elsewhere and pay less rent & other costs of living.
Well so unless you are a briton or you love the country / city too much I do not see a reason not to move elsewhere.
Those people @ 55 - 60k (EUROS) should really ask themselves if it's worth working in London.
I have access to books for Swift 1.0/2.0 as some has given them to me for free. How much of it is useful when it comes to breaking changes that came with 3.0 ?
Again you proved my point. There is not a need to let these people in. Especially if they commute. What's the problem with opening an office in St.Pet area ? BTW what makes you think you are entitled to "higher salaries" ?
And this is exactly the point.
If you can deliver you should get paid the same thing in St.Pet. If the company would really need these people they could open an office in St.Pet and offer similar / same salaries. But they do not want to.
Sorry but you have just proved my point. What % of your team is FINNISH ? I mean you know...real Finns and not russians living in / commuting to Finland ? I do not make such differences in personal life but this is something that's important for the country. It's a matter of survival.
Germany needs new germans. Or people that will speak german. You can't automate everything. Not yet. A lot of automation today is TOO expensive. Requires too much maintenance and some other stuff cannot be automated at all. Or are you telling me that wiping old people's asses is something that has been already solved by building robots ?
Yup. Programmer is a new derogatory term for a "worker".
No short term benefits but a lot of long term benefits. Germany has one of the largest aging population in Europe. They have just added a lot of people to their population and can use them however they like. Do not worry about germans they always knew how to screw with people.
Just look at the number of factories that operate outside of Germany and how many people they require in order to keep the machinery running. I do not hate them. I do not detest them. I am just scared at how they run things. And other countries seem to follow because they also want to take advantage of it.
Bollocks. Read the whole article. They can't compete with GB or Germany in terms of salaries nothing to do with shortage of people.
They just want to be able to hire Indians,Pakistanis or whoever will be willing to work for the fraction of what even an unskilled person from a remote village in Romania would ask for.
This is not about SHORTAGE of people for the companies. Companies can hire entire teams overseas and especially developers do not need to be hired in local countries. The thing is people from even the poorest regions of EU do not want to relocate hence Finland is looking to repopulate itself with at least semi-skilled workforce outside of Europe.
This whole thing is disgusting. But Finland is free country and they are free to do whatever they think is the best for the country and its people.
I use Safari on Mac because it's good enough and I use Chrome anywhere else because I am used to it and it's also good enough.
I need simple, stable and fast. I do not really care about features or security at this point.
Linux did not outperform anyone. Companies did. Companies used and abused linux in such a way that the other simply followed the trend. Mainly because of the costs. And btw this is what Facebook and Google will be doing to most of other competitors as well. This is pure / chinese style capitalism. We give you something good enough for free but forget about normal wealth distribution only a single entity / group of people will get rich and the others will have to pay a hefty price of loosing their privacy.
Linux and Apache and the others succeeded because they spawned a lot of other businesses that were just cheaper than the offerings from Microsoft or Oracle.
Guaranteed income is not a solution. Sure housing and food are the most 2 important things but people need to feel they are needed in the society.
I am a european and getting pissed off by these cocky austrians and germans. They are so full of themselves and keep trash talking about Tesla for so long. Yet they cannot deliver.
Tesla does. Period. Also it's not only about technical superiority but experience as well. Tesla excels here.
I am an emacs person that converted from ST (on Windows/Linux) and TextMate but I have always preferred ST/Textmate over anything else available.
Not it really is not. You simply use whatever fits your needs.
The same can be said about steep learning curve for VIM/Emacs. What's the reason for Atom/VSCode if Emacs/VIM can do it much better / faster. Even opening large files on Emacs is flawless with vlf.
Why would bash be faster ? Would not you essentially call the same C lib stuff anyway ?
no reason imho..the function is pretty trivial. But also not a reason not to use it as a performance impact would be minimal :-)
I do not understand these free tiers + steep pricing. This is like you are looking to bank on those that really really need your stuff..
But I do not want to invest myself in your ecosystem just to see it die eventually. I want to pay you because I do not want the service to die. Do you plan to serve ads in the free tier ? Why not have the pricing more dynamic ?
