Sitting here in Europe, reading this, I can only chuckle. You will get fined if you call a policeman a "buddy" (Hawara) in Austria [1]. You got fined for sitting outside alone on a park bench during COVID or if you played with your kids on a public lawn [2]. All public parks were closed. We had lockdowns until mid-2022. If you insult a politician online, you will be fined or put in jail [3]. It feels like a completely different world that the author of this post is living in.

I wonder if this is in any way related to the fact that ̶r̶e̶d̶h̶a̶t̶ IBM cut down their OpenSource staff, afaik they are the biggest OS that uses XFS as their default FS.

Thank you for the answer! Selfhosted in Europe is what I guess I hoped to read. The soviewt bunker is a bit cringy but nice touch. I really consider switching - I just registerd a free address to play with the UI. Is there anything specific I should watch out where the freemium differs from the business plan?

Sent an application in january, and got an E-Mail "We have received your job application [...] We will send you a response as soon as possible."

Never got any response. Should I assume applying again is futile?

Masks are explicitly allowed. They cleared that up right aftre the law come to effect.

""" kein Verstoß gegen das Gesichtsverhüllungsverbot vor:

Mund- und Nasen-Schutzmasken, Atemschutzmasken; Gesichtsverhüllung zum Schutz vor Frost """

Roughly translates to:

""" It is no violation of the ban on face covering:

Mouth and nose protective masks, respiratory masks; Face covering to protect against frost """
