Did you read the release? They are up front that its entirely an issue about setting a bad precedent. Its completely and totally about the fact that it would be used over and over again, and nothing to do with the fact that is it possible. Your overly cynical stance on this is misguided, as you seem to not have grasped the information in the letter.

Ahh yes, an important distinction. I do mean Tweet. His tweets really sit at odds with me. He was someone I looked up to at one point, but the main interface (Twitter) I have with him portrays a very different person than the one I thought he was.

Pretty much this. It isn't a very good game. It's padded to kingdom come, there is a lack of motivation to keep going and no music kills any atmosphere it might potentially create.
