Guys Facebook is no Microsoft or Google who only buy to soft kill the competitor.
FB is different just look at their past acquisitions like Instagram and others, they all survived and are still in active development and rolling out new features.
If it were MS/Google acquiring Oculus, negative reactions would have been justified.
Well coz its readily available unlike Paint(.)Net and its simple and quick like notepad. Actually the lack of features is what most people love the most about ms paint.
In applicability lies the possibility. Any theorem / formula on its own cannot solve such complex problem.

For me Gnome (2 especially) always felt more natural and productive to use than Unity. Besides, you could easily customize your Gnome to look and behave exactly like Unity but you can't replicate the same with Unity.
