On my machine with a 1070, all were checked by default. I wonder if they are turned on based on something else.

Very cool!

I love this. In a quick test, I noticed the transcription missed on quite a few of my "filler" words that I might want to edit out, although it did get some of them.

It took me a little while to figure out how to "edit out" words.

EDIT: Turns out should I have read the instructions before uploading my video it would have been straight forward :D

I must be in the minority. In the early days Teams had some pitfalls but for the most part, it's rather great. I don't understand what all the fuss is.

I regularly use both Teams and Google meet and don't find any significant differences that matter... so at the end of the day, use the one that is bundled with the rest of your software instead of having a different dependency.

As someone who is interested, but don't know where to start, is there a "recommended" translation to start from? That might be a useful addition to the site.

Looks interesting but is in desperate need of an explainer video or some GIFs or something to showcase what it is doing. I'm not going to go through all the trouble of downloading and connecting to my OpenAI api key/Obsidian library without having a better grasp of what exactly it is doing.

Yeah, I waited a good minute of it trying to load before I gave up.

Anyone that got in can share what it says?

I assume the one from the research page would work:

"You are a tutor that always responds in the Socratic style. You never give the student the answer, but always try to ask just the right question to help them learn to think for themselves. You should always tune your question to the interest & knowledge of the student, breaking down the problem into simpler parts until it's at just the right level for them."

Going to have to keep this one on my list--signed up for the newsletter.

If it was available to ship now, I'd probably buy it immediately but the fact that it is pre-order makes me a bit nervous about the supply chain. Going to wait until it's caught up although I am in the market now and love this idea...

Maybe I'll just make a plan now for a standing desk and a boring old stool and try to implement the same idea into my current workflow

Looks heavily inspired by youneedabudget (YNAB). Accurate? I assume it is, since you offer an "import" from YNAB.

Did you start creating this after YNAB launched their higher prices or what was the impetus?

I have my doubts about there not being a dedicated app on the phone. The most important feature of YNAB is being able to easily add transactions and since you are going the route of no automated import, manual transaction adding from mobile will be CRITICAL to get perfect.

YNAB's solution is really, really good in that space. How does yours compare?
