ARM tech & Intel have proven that they can scale, but only Intel has the performance advantage for years to come.

And come on! Fragment the Mac market in laptops with ARM and workstations with Intel chips is a really bad move. The only laptop that would have an ARM chip would be an iPad with a keyboard.

I don't know. I saw your site and I find it is not easy to use. The first page doesn't tell you what is a virtual bet about. It also gives you to calls to action that are equally important. I would only highlight one of them.

The How to Play page is boring to read. I would replace everything with a form that fills in a Twitter post for you (for which you don't need permissions from Twitter).

I began programming when I've got my first computer, an Atari 600XL (what a pos for 1992). I learnt BASIC from a collection of science magazines from the 80s that my older brothers had and from an Atari BASIC manual.

It is just a simple console like Firebug Lite. Even the site says "The Web Console won't replace more advanced debugging tools like Firebug", so why is the Firebug team so worried about it?

Firebug is a great tool for Mozilla browsers and I feel that considering porting Firebug to other browsers could be a difficult goal for the project.

Unix scripting always amazes me. Every time I read a script or a blog post about it I learn something new.

After all these years using Linux, I don't remember ever noticing input redirection.

I've used cheap scientific calculators that perform operations from left to right. It's awful when you are answering a uni exam and you don't know why the results you get looks fishy.

On computer calculators, I always type "1 + 2 * 3 =" as "2 * 3 =", "+ 1 =" because I learned the hard way that I can't asume that a calculator is going to respect order of precedence or not.

What I find it really sad that even in this decade the best way for a web startup to get attention is to go to the Valley. If the web is global shouldn't the support networks be global too?

In the case of my country (Chile) it is very difficult to make your own web startup. Seed investment is centralized in a goverment organization that only cares about patents and how many millions of dollars you are going to make in the first years. Another problem with seed investment around here is that you must spend the money in very specific things like getting incorporated (which is expensive) and build a business plan $$, not getting the work done. It you aren't sure how you are going to monetize your app in a way that is going to give you massive profits, don't bother trying to get an investor (unless you have rich relatives).

IMO it's just better to stick to LTS releases, Canonical tends to make less experimental changes in those releases, because things should work for 3 years. In the other hand, on post LTS releases like 10.10 (which is a x.10 release) they have more freedom to do more under the hood changes.

Yeah maybe if they dumb it down a little to be more similar to Gmail it would really catch on.
