Could you stop make your point using such widely false and over generalized statement ?
The point of people who think that our society is de-humanized is that when your society was forcing you to work in a farm or to go to war, you didn't have the free will to be alone. You were indeed "forced" to engage in activity involving using your body to do meaningful work (farming), do things with your peers (war).
I watch a lot the French equivalent Blow Up [1], they are a lot more productive, less didactic and I find them more irreverent & interesting. I think they do not have any upload and rights issue because they are produced by Arte, a Franco-German TV network

Why do you act in such a victimized way ? You were trapped in a closed system, the trap crumbled down and now you're free. Google did not kill RSS, it killed its RSS reader and that's it. The number of websites providing an RSS feed has not declined since.
I mean I really do not understand your way of thinking ? When Google is no more, will it have killed maps and videos ?
I am re-reading "Martian Chronicles" by Ray Bradbury, it made a strong impression on me four or five years ago, with its pessimistic yet poetic view of the Mars colonization. My new boss is an annoying Mars colonization enthusiast so I'm counterbalancing.

When I leave my current job I'm going to apply for an adult course on wood working. I love to build things, and wood is the most available and easy to work with material (compared to plastic, rock or metal).
And seriously, I bought a saw, a hammer, a screwdriver last year, it got me crazy. Same as having a unix terminal and an Internet connexion.
