On macOS there is Dash - https://kapeli.com/dash which can download and make easily searchable many documentations as well as StackOverflow answers. I have been using it sparingly, but for coding without an internet connection it seems ideal

At least post a source for such a claim. M understanding is that they managed. to act relatively good, given the information and circumstances.

That would be really great. To improve looking through new repos at least a litte bit I like the browser plugin [Octotree](https://github.com/buunguyen/octotree), it adds a tree view of the code and eases jumping between files.

Well, at least in reference letters, former employees can be criticised quite well. Mostly by omitting certain words. I believe most employers have practice in reading between the lines.

edit: I always thought this is just culturally. I have no idea, but I don't believe there are any laws that forbid telling the truth about former employees.
