Same issue for me. Disconnects during calls, microphone problems. I don't know when this update was pushed, but it started for me in September.

They do have a fiduciary duty to shareholders, but my understanding is that there is a low bar to meet. Fraud / fleecing shareholders is out, but as long as they have a reasonable case that what they're doing is in shareholders' best interests, they'll be fine.

As an example, it would be easy to make the case that reducing the dividend to build a new factory is in shareholders' best interest. It would also be easy to make the case that they shouldn't open a new factory, and instead increase the dividend. Which option they choose is a bit subjective, and a judgement call, but neither would breach their fiduciary duty.

Choosing a much higher cost supplier, that is owned by their husband or wife, probably would breach fiduciary duty.

But then, say you come a long with a new company going public... you're not large enough to be in the S&P 500, so if everyone only invests in S&P 500 index funds, no one will buy your stock. Similarly, if you're Apple (the largest company), and you have a really bad quarter, say you lose $100B, no one would sell your shares, because they're passive investors.

Obviously, these are edge cases (we'll never be 100% passive), but there is some concern that there will be a lock-in effect for companies currently in the S&P... It will be harder to grow if you're not in it, and it'll be harder to fail if you are.

If they don't have integrity, then intelligence + energy makes them "dangerous" to your company. Think Frank Underwood (House of Cards).. Smart and ambitious, but out to improve his own position, often at the expense of the nation (or company).

If you hire someone who doesn't have integrity, you want them to be dumb and lazy to limit the damage they can cause.

I use Mr Number Blocker for this on android. You can whitelist / blacklist specific numbers, and set it to hang up or go to voicemail. There's also a crowdsourcing aspect, where after a certain number of people flag a number as spam, it shows up as "likely spam" when the phone rings. I believe you can have those go straight to voicemail as well.

Most people don't decide which product to buy based on who was first. If a competitor produces a quality alternative, they will compare the two and buy the one they like more (Where the product they like more is subjective and base on many factors).

I'm not sure what the quality of the books are overall, or the consistency between books, but I've had some luck with introductory level info. It looks like a good start and seems to be the same basic concept as what you describe.

I get the same thing in the US, but much less noticeable. I get a tingling feeling in my hands / palm using the 2 prong adapter. Since it was unexpected, I searched a little bit and it seems to happen to everyone. (13-in MBA 2012)
