In order to avoid future lawsuit, Amazon has to set up an independent project without any external dependency for the person under PIP and document all the progress. So that the person being PIP cannot sue his employer inthe future.

I make all my expensive electronic items with my AMEX. AMEX has been treating me well over the past 15 years. If a company shutdown my access to it product, I would request a charge back through AMEX. Usually, AMEX accepts my request with in the same day, no question asked.

Because you are not a customer, you aren't paying. Instead, you are the product of facebook. Their business model is to sell your personal information to advertisers

You can get your own domain name (ie: me@myname.com) so that you avoid vendor lock-in and migrate your email account to other service providers.

Be careful, exactly 10 years after I cancelled my Netflix, Netflix started to charge my card again. I contacted Netflix, but they cannot did anything about it. I ended up having my card issuer to issue a new account number to me.

Credit Card referral was/is a big business. I remember personal finance bloggers were making $50 dollar for each referral. If mint can convince each customer to get a new card every year, it will be a 500 million dollars business. It is not huge but a sustainable business.

Many personal finance products are free, but make money by selling data or trying to upsell you on something else that you don't need (like, say, a credit card you don't need or a tax product that is overpriced [2]). This is what happened with Mint. It became a "top-of-the-funnel" lead generation tool for other products.

Question about MonarchMoney. Is it going to be a cloud service or a standalone old-fashion desktop software? Most of serious personal finance people would prefer desktop software in order to protect their own data. However, most consumers prefer a free and hosted solution. Which market is MonarchMoney going after?

He is funding another one for 2020 election. The stealth startup is crating a new campaign tool and only sells to one side of political spectrum.
