I'm not actually new here, I just look that way.
Jeez, there's the word "hate" again, second time this morning. What a bunch of drama queens we all are. Not particularly caring for a language or disagreeing with the premise for its creation is "hating". OK. And here it's even worse, because the author elevates these developers to the status of "great" and then paints the fact that they do not care for CoffeeScript as "haughty".
"Hate" is a weird concept to bring up. RIM went from practically defining this market to having a substandard product. That's why most of their users are unhappy, not because their brand is simply unfashionable or some other kind of perceptual issue.
If BB10 is good, then great, maybe RIM can right the ship and become a real competitor again. We both hope this will be the case.
When did they announce that?
On the iPad at least, I prefer using the desktop version of youtube.com. It works better than the app, and more videos seem to be available due to inane restrictions on "mobile" video viewing in the app and mobile web site.
