This is simply not true. 5G is both for bandwidth and latency. Your numbers are also very off. 4G can do a lot lower latency than 50ms and 5G will most of the time definitively have higher latency than 1 ms.
You can buy a trackpad with buttons to replace it. It is compatible with the X250 trackpad I think. Or was this only the case with T440s and T450s?

I'm starting to think it is getting kind of absurd how it is always mentioned that Huawei is way ahead on 5G. This is a message Huawei is of course also pushing very hard to put out there. I'm working in the industry and I haven't seen anything that supports that claim. It is hard to say who is in the lead but I don't think the difference between the top companies is that big.

It shouldn't be so hard to understand the problem. Let me give you an example. Apple develops a product with components that are doing the same thing as standard components that are ready available at the market. But instead of using those readily available components they make some twist on it just to ruin compatibility. Then they forbid the company that made that component to sell it to anyone but Apple. That basically gives Apple a monopoly on repairing the device. You talk about sourcing parts, but in this case no one can source parts except Apple unless they salvage parts from other devices which is not always viable.
If solar panels were dirt cheap that would be a solution. But the panels are a lot more expensive than the ground it covers. A farmer would probably be better off to just keep the panels year around and grow nothing.
The cell tower cost is not similar at all. I also used to think that the actual telecom equipment was the biggest cost and then your statement would be true. But generally installation cost and raising a tower is many times more expensive than the equipment.
Digging down power and fiber to a tower is not cheap.
And labor cost are significant when building the towers. The actual cost for the equipment is much smaller than the tower installation cost.
Why do you necessarily think they are all hired developers? I find it surprising that you and many others are surprised and even upset by this story.
Imagine someone never having used vim, maybe new to Unix overall, or new to terminal programs. Maybe this person is a student and is trying to learn. In some way he ends up in vim and it is not very intuitive how to exit it. The person searches for "how to exit vim" and find that SO thread and learns how to exit vim.
Does that sound so weird? If you act in a similar way towards colleagues trying to learn something new you should rethink your behavior.

What do you think the notch is for? From your comment it sounds like you think it's just for show. How does it eat pixels? The alternative would be to have a smaller screen. Also the difference in resolution is so minor it doesn't matter.
Of course you're not getting skyscrapers from them but nowadays you can build at least five floors which is not that bad. Most buildings are below that I think.
If treated and maintained right it can last hundreds of years. So this is not really an issue and if you replace it with new wood it will still store carbon.
I'm pretty sure the fiber company only owns the fiber and takes a fee from ISPs for using it, they are not an ISP themselves. This means most customers can choose between a lot of different ISPs. At least it is that way in a lot of other places in Sweden.
I'm pretty sure that most operators either use analogue or digital end to end, no mix.
VoLTE (Voice over LTE) have some other advantages over other calling applications. VoLTE is most likely on a very high QCI (priority), which means it probably has less delay and less packet loss than other traffic. VoLTE also often uses header compression over the air which means the packets gets a lot smaller and therefore also reduces packet loss. I don't think VoLTE usually have very high bitrate though, maybe around 10kbit/s. This is one area where other apps could be a lot better.
EDIT: I am of course only speaking about mobile calls. For landlines I agree that other applications provide better quality.
How do you tell if it's voip or not? A lot of phone operators use voip for calls. So choosing the default phone app doesn't necessarily mean that you are not using voip. And the phone operators infrastructure for voip is probably way ahead of most other call apps.
