So it is about subjecting OTHER people to his car.

Having not read the article yet, this is an assumption. He could himself enjoy the kick/boom of a subwoofer (I know I do, it makes music so much better) or the sound of his own exhaust (I never have personally cared about this)

My partner got some goofy glasses with liquid in them to help him use his phone in the car.

He only had to wear them for a week or two before his motion sickness from cars was completely cured. Now he can just use his phone, without the glasses, in the car whenever he wants

Flow state relies on a constant information inflow that holds your attention perfectly, often hinging on competency and challenge. You can't enter it in AI coding because you need to wait for replies. It's incompatible.

I just watch YouTube in the downtime these days, or movies that I don't care too much about

I heard that when cars were becoming popular, some scandanavian country had lots of protests about how dangerous they were and that they were successful. I don't remember the desired outcome though

The quality of hacker news commenters has been steadily declining, yet I'm still constantly surprised by just how mentally shallow and lazy some can be

Is it possible able to host your website in a way so that it couldn't be found via search engines (and thus wouldn't be crawlable I hope)?

I know this has repercussions on findability, but if that wasn't a concern, I'm curious how one might circumvent getting crawled.

If you don't mind me asking (this is unrelated to your post), but is your company hiring? My next position I'm hoping to work at an international remote company, so I'm just following up on any lead that I see, hah

Jobs that you want to do vs jobs that you have to do are entirely different levels of motivating and result in completely different energy levels for people.

If I have to do a job I hate for the rest of my life I would eternally be low energy. If I could do the thing I loved every day, the thing I truly wanted to do, I would get up excited every day and would have high energy throughout.

Having more free time, yes people would get bored. But the resulting things that they work on would be things that invigorate them.

It truly is not a choice, as I cannot sustain my family / lifestyle with manual labor. Opting into working out for the sake of my health is not nearly the same.

My partner's grandfather died of cancer because when he was having pains they believed their homeopathic medicine would work. When he finally when in to see a real doctor it was too late. If he had gone in earlier, he would been able to have a chance. This is not a rare occurrence for these types.

Okay, what's the actual point of this website? It's just a glossary of singing terms, that if you sing at all you would know pretty much all of them. Even the "resources" section that links to youtube just links to a search on youtube of the term, not a specific video. Was this just your AI project for fun?

I see a lot of people in here posting success stories from lessons, which is great. But I tried lessons for about 2 months and go absolutely nowhere haha. It was just repeatedly practicing some song that I wasn't super into and I never even felt like I was "singing" just talking kind of louder / longer and felt very forced and odd. Terrible experience tbh, but I do love singing and still want to some day. (I generally just sing in falsetto to songs in my car because I'm too timid to really project my actual voice)

Where did you get them if you don't mind me asking

Also do you know the material of the metals? I wonder if it'd be worth it to have them in different metals for different timbres. Like two different instruments

It doesn't need to be tech. From the Guidelines section of HN:

On-Topic: Anything that good hackers would find interesting. That includes more than hacking and startups. If you had to reduce it to a sentence, the answer might be: anything that gratifies one's intellectual curiosity.

Off-Topic: Most stories about politics, or crime, or sports, or celebrities, unless they're evidence of some interesting new phenomenon. Videos of pratfalls or disasters, or cute animal pictures. If they'd cover it on TV news, it's probably off-topic.
