Having interacted with Danielle a few times in the community I can say that she is very difficult to work with and obviously doesn't know what it takes to scale a project like elementaryOS up. It's actually amazing it's made it this far.
Kolour Paint is really good - basically a much improved version of MS Paint in terms of interface and simplicity. I run a GNOME system but I still use the Klour Paint flatpak since it's so good.

It's worth mentioning Reddit uses the Karma system as part of the rate limiting. If you have a lot of karma you'll virtually never get the dreaded "You're doing that too fast" error message, but if you have a low karma account you might only get to post/comment once every 30 minutes.

Matrix supports encryption out-of-the-box without any strange key exchange problems. Most of the time the way key exchange is done in XMPP is very insecure.
I just tried elementaryOS and the selection of apps is terrible. There is almost nothing there that you actually need and of the apps that were there I found either unusable or so lacking in functionality compared to other apps it wasn't worth trying to compromise.
Also I noticed that Elementary is taking a 30% cut (with a 50c minimum) which I find obnoxiously high
It does seem really high considering they are just taking from one Stripe account to another.
