If you have to use smartphone for your work you have to. I don't use smartphone, if smartphone would be required for work , first they would have to get me smartphone, and buy me applications. And when I change job i just return it.
I think more secure way of storing data is offline backup, at least 2 geographic locations should be used.
There is no FORTH programming language on the list. I think it's worth mentioning because of compact source code and binary images that it produces; therefore, it conserves more energy necessary for making memory chip.
Programming style has changed over time to include more dependencies from 3rd party. Look at style of programming from 70s, they would do everything from OS , filesystem to application. Today there are many dependencies.

Business depends on trust, there is risk involved in doing business. There is always chance somebody will either not pay or not deliver, or deliver lower quality products than ordered (like this is the case with supply chain attack). I used sneakernet years ago, mostly as a last mile connection to internet. I would go to place with more bandwidth , download stuff burn it to CD , or save it on external hard drive, and go back.
I think many people still do it like that. There are 3.7 B people in the World without internet.
