That's debatable and would have to be proven in court. Weird Al's works aren't really critiques of the original songs so a parody defense would be very difficult to make. One could argue that the humor in his lyrics could have been set to another tune to the same effect, making his appropriation of copyrighted material unnecessary and therefore not fair use.

In Canada the carriers show the cost of the plan and then tell you how much extra is tacked on for the phone. The prices are still outrageous here, but it is nice to be able to quickly tell how much money you save or lose by bundling it.

I doubt it pulls in anybody in the unfinished state its in. WSL does not integrate very well and is miserably slow. My 13yo thinkpad runs circles around WSL running on my workstation. WSL2 is still beta, and given how buggy 1909 still is, I am not installing 2004 on anything I care about. And I recently tried Windows Terminal, but it couldn't even give me an admin prompt without giving every single session elevated privileges, so I gave up after 5 minutes.

A client once brought in a Thinkpad they ran over with a truck and the only damage was the soft copper heatpipes and fins were bent. I bent it back a little so the fan wouldn't scrape and it ran perfectly fine.

The XPS and Thinkpads have both offered 4k for a few gens now. The real question is when Apple will offer matte screens. I can't stand the glare on the Macbook screens.

Which OS did you test this on? Every time I have used a Windows device with an NVMe drive the difference is immediately obvious, but on my Hackintosh and Linux boxes I haven't noticed any difference at all.

There aren't many benchmarks yet, but the Snapdragon 670's performance is roughly between the Snapdragon 821 and 835, which were the flagships just 3 and 2 years ago.

I had an old Acer laptop, the C710 i think, where the touchpad would only work if you grounded it. Only the whole chassis was plastic so you could only operate it with one hand because the other had to touching the little band of metal around the VGA port.

Are you serious? No one is using a 2000 Nokia, even in the third world. Do you think it's cheaper to collect phones in the first world, wipe them, test them, and ship them to the third world (assuming they could even connect to any cellular network) than to mass manufacture $15 plastic Androids?
