My CPU can run Windows 11 fine, but what I don't tolerate is full-screen ad pop-ups on my desktop.

When Win10 popped up an ad for Win11, I moved fully to Linux the next day.

99% of students had cafeteria lunch and I was one of a couple with a lunch box. Teachers in the hallway would see it and get mad until I showed them my sandwich lol.

Not just the US, my village in Germany has a limit of 30 kph, people drive through with 60.

My bank replaced it's banktown.com url with b-twn.com, I thought I was on a phishing site, but it's legitimate.

Any app/website/program/whatever where one might typically use an emoji usually has a button next to the input for selecting one.

So, yeah, I've never needed a dedicated emoji picker myself, even though I've had Rofimoji installed for a while.

Ha, I actually had to do this last year while setting up Arch Linux on my desktop.

I have to use this wifi dongle, but using IWD to connect somehow only gave me an ipv6 IP.

Most of the big sites worked, but trying to click links from a search engine was a 50/50 chance.

Thankfully, the Arch wiki was accessible, so I got it sorted out pretty quickly.

Linux is just a base that people stack other software on top of. Audio crash? Pulse or Pipe wire?

Then the dozens of desktop environments, each doing things differently, split between X11 and Wayland.

I feel like blind devs should get together and make a distro that, out of the box, has as many accessibility features as possible, because it seems a lost cause to wait for some other distro to pick the right combination of tools.

I totally understand why developers love python, but as an end user I dread seeing the .py extension.

On Windows you have to either download the driver updates manually, or install that GeForce Experience thing that keeps them up to date for you.

I got my license in 2014, in Germany, and was taught to turn on the turn signal > check mirrors > turn your head to look over your shoulder and only then, when you're clear, do you merge.
