I know it can be tough to hear that the new GoogleTV might not be complex or unfriendly to use (both are true if you have used one), but the AllthingsD staff disclaimers are really good. They are prominent and not mired in legal-speak unlike some other high profile "main-stream media" like Newsweek. In which, I still don't understand how Dan Lyons gets away with not stating FSJ site. Read Kara Swisher's again, is there any blogger or old media columnist that has anything that clear?

Apple's iDisk is not Mac/iOS only. Any WebDAV client can access it. I use it on an XP machine without any extra software. In fact, using an open standard like WebDAV is probably the reason for iDisk's performance issues. Any WebDAV "disk" I have ever connected to has had performance issues.

Spoken like someone who is punching the clock at Best Buy. If you are in a technical field that deals with anything of any significance, you will work like this for much less world changing projects. Most of the things you touch has a team of engineers that work like this behind it. It could be everyday things like bringing a subway motor , a glucose meter, or a police scanner to reality. Why? I have seen it. Actually, technical staff that work the front end of development the best work/life balance (note that I didn't say good). It the guys that work out the final kinks at the end in manufacturing or testing that really get the pressure. You or team members may not even believe in the project as you go on the death march. At least it sounds like the staff at Apple believe in the final goal.

"Simply get an Android phone".. In your reply replace Gmail with Exchange and Android phone with Outlook and we would bring out the pitchforks decrying vendor lock-in. Exchange works fine for my work email, IMAP works fine for my Yahoo account and somehow it is the client's fault it doesn't "support Gmail properly". Of course, this data is equally meaningless as yours as the sample size is 1.
