I can't speak for all of them, but the adaptive lights I've used do keep the edges of the road lit up as if using old-style highbeams whilst dimming in the middle of the road to avoid blinding oncoming traffic. Weird at first, but super useful for country driving where there might be deer / kangaroos loitering.
I wonder what the root cause is? They've just tweeted that the outage is also affecting call centres and their ability to receive email. [0]
I'm glad their stuff is designed with zero connectivity in mind. Just slightly irked that my history isn't cached on my phone.
Looks interesting. Definitely something that could be useful. Issue I have is getting my data in to the system. Would be good to be able to pull contacts from a CSV / Google account / Facebook account.
