I always change my bash PS1 prompt to include the exit code of the previous command, makes experimenting to write scripts so much easier.

I also include the runtime of the previous command which is useful to find out how long commands take without having to remember to time each one.

Coming from the perspective of an eclipse fan, why is VS code the defacto answer nowadays?

Im forced to use vs code (so biased), but everything seems worse than eclipse, plus these repeated security issues from malware laced projects.

Theres been several posts about infected projects by fake recruiters here in the last year or two.

Im guessing the answer is probably Java is why eclipse is out of favor.

Kudzu flowers supposedly have a grape like flavor. I just had a beer made with them from fonta flora in NC and you could vaguely taste it. Although unsure if it was my imagination.

Kudzu flowers were listed as one of the possibilities in the article.

No.

.its an insane lawsuit, there are basically two outcomes crazy side effects from his lawsuit:

Tvs are banned. (Possibly can only texas permitted tv)

Or if he loses, which might be his donors goal of him litigating so terribly, all your data now belongs to the companies.

Theres no consumer friendly option here

Its an alternative libc instead of gnu.

I've generally seen it for embedded systems due to smaller size and you can statically link it.

But there are some compatibility drawbacks for non musl binaries as well as source that intentionally or unintentionally relies on glibc behavior or non standard functionality.

You don't want to mix and match your libc's on a running system.

Buildroot may be a good way to start to play with musl (or uClibc, another small c library).

Meetup was great until it became so expensive to run a glorified calendar+ email list. $180+ a year is silly for small groups.

But meetup was awesome for discoverability of small local niche groups.

Manual link sharing doesn't help with local groups.

The alternative was Facebook groups for free, but has awful discoverability and awful event calendars. But most people have Facebook, so thats the default now.

How does this benefit me as an organizer? How can local people find my event without me having to spam it on services(Facebook, etc) that they already have accounts on?

The Internet doesn't want to check your id. The government wants to force your the Internet to check your id. In the least safe way possible.

And as a convenient side effect dissuade people from using "morally objectionable" internet resources under fear of identity theft and doxxing.

Motorcycles lean to turn at speed, the trikes generally can't and are prone to tipping or flipping.

I've only ever seen them in low speed parades though.

Not sure how the slingshots with two wheels in front and one in back are at speed, i generally only see those at low speeds in cities blasting music instead of trying to get anywhere.

I'd like to see some investigative reporting on who or what organization is trying to get these banned via various state mvcs all around the same time, theres definitely a concerted effort.

The owners groups are battling the mvcs publicly, but nothing from the other side.

I enjoy murderbot, but each novella is pretty short, so there isn't a lot of source material to draw from for the upcoming show, and original material for a show isn't always of the same caliber as the source unfortunately.

But my biggest concern about the show is, all the internal dialogue by murderbot, how do you translate that to the screen? Voiceovers maybe, but im not sure. Although i haven't listened to the audio books to see how they portray the internal dialogue.

That and murderbots androgynous otherness, although the casting of Alexander Skarsgård for the role is probably a good one, he's definitely played similarly weird characters before.

Bobiverse books are full length. And highly enjoyable, but short "chapters".

Murderbot is on kindle unlimited (except for the newest), but yeah $15 for a novella starts adding up quickly.

Bobiverse is also on kindle unlimited, except for the newest book which is only on audible for now.

I happen to enjoy malort, so there's probably something wrong with me.

Malort has been seeing wider distribution recently, which i hear may due to a buyout a while ago. Their website lists distribution in Delaware, Maryland, DC, and randomly checking San Francisco shows availability as well.

No more having to visit Chicago to purchase it enables a lot more people to buy it and businesses to serve it.

The weird Chicago only malort variants do disturb me, but i would try them.

Nope. But i wish them well.

If i read some interesting article that turns out to just be a reblogging of an interesting post on a service, the original embedded article is inevitably from xitter, which if i want to read more generally i can't. Either technical or personal issues usually prevent me from being able to read the original source and additional related tweets.

I've come to the conclusion that men will eventually just be naked in the future. Every time i go to shop for clothes in the USA the men's section has shrunk and the women's has gotten larger.

Or we will all eventually just dress like steve jobs, just pairs of the one legal compliance shirt and pants combo available for sale.
