can you prove that?

I don´t understand. Most answers say they want to program but that they don´t want to type, compile, debug, add files to the project, refactor, etc. Well that´s programming.
Asking a prompt to do something is asking a prompt to do something.
In my case I fear the day comes where I can not program anymore and I have to give orders to a prompt.
Will they end up using ads? (not joking)
Not only meritocracy. A big part also believes that they are better than the rest. So they think these problems will never touch them.
I don´t know. Maybe we spend too much time alone in front of a monitor to understand what´s really going on.
Not saying it isn´t useful but with this change Python's crypto depends on Microsoft (https://fstar-lang.org/ and https://project-everest.github.io/)
I like how they present it as a novel idea, when this is as old as it gets. This is not new of course but it seems it won´t stop. Ever.
Time to quit using Github?
They are not going to say "we are making an agent to replace programmers. We will use their code and their guidance to train it"
The problem with these large open source projects is that they are already on maintenance mode and the fun part has already been done a long ago. Who wants to work for months doing menial tasks so that when they "graduate" they can start doing maintenance.
Are those emails legit?
Who backed him?
Have you tried the drug?
Great work! I´ve been looking for something like this for quite a time!
C# syntax support would be welcomed.
Maybe because it makes it easier to read to people with impaired vision. Just a guess.
I guess it is because after decades of use, grep has probably been fixed to handle lots of user cases that the new tools don´t handle because they haven´t found them yet.
The C programming language book.
Is your physical health ok? Is your mental health ok? Is there something you are telling yourself that is not true?
Marijuana lobbists 1 vs Tobacco lobbists 0. Health be damned (in either case)
Because is cheaper
I guess it came as childish because that´s the way those perks were given to us by management. In fact the head of a big studio (around 800 people) I worked on refered to these perks in private as "glitter".
Because languages are chosen because of fashion.
Because what gets built is the knowledge of the system. The CRUD part is an implementation detail.
At the time of writing this, this "article" is #1 on HN default sort. It's an incredibly short, and fluffy post (self reported as a 3 minute read), with little more substance than an urban dictionary listing. I'm baffled.
The magic is in the Ren & Stimpy reference.
In my experience Engineering management is essential. But most EM management sucks. Why?
Because in our industry management has no legal accountability. Nobody dies if a feature is half-assed. If the feature sucks they just create a ticket and assign it to a dev.
And because of that tech management has always been crowded with bullshit artists who promote other bullshit artists like them (which they have to, if not they would get exposed). And the story repeats over and over again.
Out of curiosity, does it pay well? I was told that this kind of industrial/architectural design work pays really well.
In the 90´s, early 00s, when it was used for troyans and malware a lot.
Maybe you are better than your coworkers at maintaining code.
Thanks!
Find a successful entrepreneur. Make him/her your mentor.
In FE dev your primary business is building a competitive user experience in the browser, and browser and related techs are constantly changing to enable better ones.
In BE dev, unless you are working at scale, your primary business is to code business logic which also changes but doesnt require much tech churn.
