A Work of art. I remember my dad building a computer using discrete TTL chips in our garage in Auckland. He took like two years and I'm guessing about five people saw it. I would love to see more of these on HN, but most don't get past a few upvotes in the sea of AI stuff.

It's an entirely different thing; he made a thing, sold it, and then when he couldn't sell more of it, gave it away.

He didn't have to give it away, but he did, and for that I thank him

I totally agree, it's his company 100%, why would you even apply for a job in a company where you don't agree with the owner or his vision.
