The article was about heresy which he defined as a factually correct statement that will destroy your life if stated. It wasn't about being an unpleasant person with unpopular opinions.

Are you talking from a US/European perspective? Being gay was entirely open and mainstream in the 90s/2000s. Although I'm not sure what that has to do with heresy which was the topic of the essay.

I consume a wide range of media every day and I've never seen a bill that "restricts voting access for people of color". It's an extraordinary claim so you would to need provide strong evidence, rather than being dismissive.
You're hinting that most accusations of heresy come from the right (evangelical christians), rather than the left. This almost seems absurd to me, as someone who consumes a wide range of news media every day.

I presume you refer to the avoidance of examples in the article. Your comment suggest he was correct to do so. Some people will be desperate to disprove that modern heresy exists, and highlighting forbidden opinions would help negate the entire article.

I have a huge 35mm collection that I needed to scan and had acquired a Nikon Coolscan 5. Not only was the Nikon software unsupported on modern OSes, it had severely limited capabilities in terms of RAW and batch scanning.
With Vuescan I was able to setup a workflow where I pop in a filmstrip, and it scanned them all with no user intervention and saved as both RAW and TIFF. Then when it ejected the filmstrip 15 minutes later I just fed in a new one. So I could have a normal work day alongside the task. Just superb software.

If a Chinese citizen is (correctly) angry about the situation then they need to petition their government to change the culture that permits massive continuous hacking attempts from their country.
I use Cloudflare which makes blocking countries simple, no need to keep updated IP lists.

The lack of a Reddit search engine suits me fine. If I want to use Reddit then I go via Google, visit the page that has the information I need, and RUN.
I don't want to spend any more time within the Reddit ecosystem than that. It's a vicious miasma of hate and stupidity. Is there any community on the Internet more susceptible to propaganda than the front page of Reddit? They make boomers on Facebook look like James Randi in comparison.
