It is distinctly non-trivial. Likely part of the reason why it remains possible. Chasing down bugs is the unavoidable result, but to a geek it's manageable. MicroG works very well once sorted. It is however astonishing how much processing power Play Services gobbles up. A de-googlefied phone lasts 30-40% longer on a charge. Once done, it works like a breeze. 3-4 year old flagships Androids are titans when de-googled and with custom roms.

Les Miserables as a novel is a massive oeuvre, with perhaps only Tolstoy's War&Peace as its equal. The novel succeeds in painting the story on a much larger canvas and does so superbly. The part about Waterloo however is needlessly French-patriotic, although still a valuable account. An excellent, more accurate and detailed book about Waterloo is the one written by Bernard Cornwell. It is words that still convey abstract reflexions or concepts/method more aptly and concise than VR or multi-media I think.

the world is based on aggression, unfortunately. To just pretend this is not so only makes things worse. A prognosis must include a proper diagnosis. Currently all that's being done by either side is using it as a ping-pong ball, that's how it has been for recent history (1.5 millenia?). Declaring Ukraine a state seems not much more than a paper-tiger. Nothing of what I said or say is meant to justify aggression or bloodshed.

Isn't it true that Ukraine has never been an independent state except since the fall of the USSR? In its history? Except for 2 weeks after WWII? It has always been a fertile land, agrarian, impossible to defend due to no natural boundaries, its people of fiercely independent mind, yet, having been rolled over by Poles, Russians, Vikings, Norsman repeatedly and periodically throughout history? That would be the context. I would even go as far as saying that Donbass and Crimea are not to be counted as Ukraine, historically?

I have thus far failed to get an answer from anyone as to what the revenue of this tax, albeit tiny, is being used for. As it stands it just pads the grocer's bottom line. Whereas it should be used to fund research and protecting the environs. But everyone is mum. At least in California.

Its a silly attitude to deny development. There is plenty of room for more people, on the planet, in LA.Just get organized.I live in Venice but friends in Hollywood I see maybe 4 times a year because driving is numbing. Robocars are gonna improve things greatly. That said, LA is full of itself. You will pay through the nose for property that shouldvbe torn down, yet you are not allowed to. I am a Euro transplant and I have travelled the U.S.for the past dozen years and there is hardly a bad spot anymore. You get great food, culture, people many many places. Madison WI, Bozeman, Raleigh, Detroit even, even Texas. Lot of people are stuck in LA molasses.
