Same boat. Only my essential developer tools and very few apps. Used to try everything. For Win if it's not on Ninite it's not on my PC. It's just to much hassle when reinstall and I wan't the same tools on my MacBook an PC

So everything "converges" to Apple designs because it is the end all designs of everything ... Or so say the anti Apple crowd in here and Samsung and other copycats. Disappointed with HP in this shameless look a like product.

I have a Visa debitcard, but it is only good for use in ATM and stores. To overcome this I get a bunch of Visa gift cards from my bank that I can put money into and use online.

But they could happen in the future to work for a corporation that would like to pay, but as it stands they will never suggest using MySQL. Thus MySQL will slowly disappear from the youngs mindshare and Oracle will make no money at all on it.

I used to enjoy working with Oracle databases, but the horrible pricing and high need for dba maintenance was always discomforting. Switch for a while to MSSQL, but then the market for Windows apps disappeared. Have been using mySQL with very little sort of DB satisfaction. Now I don't know why anyone would not choose PostgreSQL for almost any project. Oracle is a bad apple, making money with methods aking to extortion.

The fear of SQL, stored procedures, proper database constraints, the love of ORM and the embrace of nosql exists because a large portion of influental programmers just don't bother to understand relational databases and SQL. It's not in fashion, so it becomes a necesseary evil the primadonna rock star will try to avoid at any cost. Just like a real rock star might drop to learn to read notes or sing for that matter. Obviously DB theory should be regarded just as important as understanding the latest greatest language feature and framework.
