At age 13 I pitched a candy idea to Mars Bars as part of a school project to write business letters. I loved Snickers at the time but was tired of unwrapping so many fun-size ones from Halloween. I told them something like - “you should just put the fun-size candies in a big resealable bag, so people can eat as much as they want without dealing with the wrappers. You can call them unwrapped minis. All you have to do is create new packaging and re-use the fun-size bars!”

I found the CEO’s corporate address somewhere online and sent the letter to him, never to hear back.

Then, around 8 months later, I saw my first ad for Snickers Unwrapped Bites on TV and freaked out. They had immediately implemented my idea, which as a kid was amazing, but I’ll never forgive them for not writing back. Especially because none of my friends ever believed me.

One of my friends is participating in a research studying using Orexin Agonists to treat narcolepsy - the research is happening!

This is awesome! Since you’re using CRDTs, do you have any plans to make it collaborative? I would find it useful to build an itinerary with multiple people

I created a scraper that scrapes around ~30 different property management sites for new rental listings. It then sends me new listings on telegram

It’s been useful for finding new places for myself and my friends - we can usually get tours before the properties are posted on Zillow.

Though definitely against a few privacy policies

This is awesome! I’m curious what you used to make the 3D view? I’ve been trying to make something similar to control my telescope

You don’t need to fully fool the vestibular system. This could be installed in a large room and move users slowly back to center as they approach the edge

I’m imaging video game applications where the avatars are controlled by both online users and LLMs

An alternative to using GPT could be NLP Clustering.

If you clustered hierarchically, you could even make groups within groups (idk if chrome supports that, but there’s extensions like Tree-Style Tab in Firefox that do)

Beautiful answer. Beyond programming, our society is incredibly overstimulated. TikTok - and now YouTube reels, instagram, etc - are moving towards short form, algorithmically delivered content that gives you a quick dopamine hit for just swiping, and I think it’s killing our collective attention spans. I wonder if there will every be a movement to move away from such platforms, but for now everyone seems always wired in.
