Article suggests that a high performance framework is implemented where notification of a unavailability will be propagated "before real user tried to execute a request" (which would have 50% probability of happening if number of heartbeats per second would be equal to number of requests per second the service serves, ha ha). Also from the Article we can learn that sending a 304 with content does not work as expected (!?)

Not only that, but there should be only one connection to database, through all traffic will go. Pulling that up through a network switch connected to a server with multiple cables, or pushing all that through a single TCP connection, with a foot note that advises against rewriting it after a few years?

Also, everything explained there should run in a single thread, because surely it will be fast enough.

Haven't we all frowned upon picking on females in tech industry just yesterday?! It is NOT okay to wildly imply that the author of this code is of certain age and gender.

EDIT: it was shown by the comment below that it was actually written by someone with a popular Polish female name. I was shaken by the article yesterday and thus oversensitive. Sorry about that.

Is there a law which specifies which advantage is fair and what is not?

Why should any company be forbidden from utilizing assets their employees legally developed, especially when they want to use that asset in pursuit of a key objective ("hire more smart people")? Should a large newspaper be forbidden from advertising their openings in the printed newspaper itself just because other newspapers failed to acquire comparable audience?

Commenters, please note that the author did not say "overtime" or "long hours".

My advice: start working on a side project which will give you satisfaction from every half hour of your work. Does not need to be an IT project. You'll think of something.

It is a bit hard to read code with one-letter variable names

This is, hands down, the most awesome game I have ever played through a web browser!

Please start logging as soon as possible. Simple heat maps of cursor positions, draw areas and pings would be awesome to look at. It could be shown to players in the end of the game.

If you collect data, I will help you process it. I am especially interested in measuring the percentage of players who volunteer to change a poor soul trapped far away, just because it is a nice thing to do. Percentage of players who never do that would also be interesting, just as players who figure out that they can click 2 or sometimes 4 buttons by oneself, freeing several cursors.
