What is the Mission now at twitter? Kiss Lord Musk's boot?

Did Musk fire the right people? Or did he slash based on obedience, mood, whim? In what situation would one want THE senior SRE for the cache systems (which are unique and affect twitter across the board) GONE? There's a reason why managers were trying to claw back some engineers and employees after the big layoff. Sure you chop off a few fingers and keep working.... but lose a thumb?
Just use reef-safe sunscreen... and help- protect what makes Hawaii & the tropics amazing https://www.popsci.com/gear/best-reef-safe-sunscreens/ This has been well known in the dive community for a while, the NEWs here is that beach-bodies need to use reef-safe sunscreen too.
Seems awfully short-sighted to announce a huge easily disproved lie as you are looking for a security position. None of those motivations make sense in todays security job market.
Yeah who needs security for Financial services.
No it's because so many people have an allergic reaction to the idea (and ideology) of Vegan. People who eat plant-based tend to be more (health based) pro-veggie than militantly anti-meat. It's trying to promote a healthy vision with out the quagmire of the extremists.
This sounds sounds like conflating plant-based foods with hydrogenated oils from the early "low fat" days.
Do you have some specific concerns? Specific processes? Specific ingredients? (like heme iron https://nutritionfacts.org/topics/heme-iron/ )
If it fools .1% of human drivers and 50% of automated Tesla's I'd say is Tesla's fault.
Perhaps EU should focus its energy and credibility on more important issues including ones you mentioned.
Ethanol gasoline degrades older vehicle's rubber fuel lines, This has lead to many fuel fires.
The battery is the most expensive part... which susceptible to wear, abuse and fraud. (and fire). Making them easily swappable with minimal tools means they'll be easily stolen.
High CO2 levels is not only a problematic itself but an indicator of poor air circulation. You are breathing in other's expelled air. Catching/ spreading a virus like SARS‑CoV‑2, flu measles is an obvious "ill health" effect.
No idea about the quality of this research, but if true 1350 +- 350ppmv carbon dioxide concentrations is, at minimum..., unpleasent air. I start opening windows at ~800. https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/abs/10.1177/1420326X1879399...
Its easy to forget that heart-disease kills as many smokers as Cancer. Vaping is still ingesting mystery compounds & heavy metals directly into the blood stream for the body's immune system to freak out on. https://www.cdc.gov/tobacco/data_statistics/fact_sheets/heal... https://www.jhsph.edu/news/news-releases/2018/study-lead-and...
It will be interesting to see if Apple allows hackers to freely abuse the system. If Apple bans end-users for abuse there will be far fewer problems.
Also football helmets are designed for multiple hits to the same location... where as bike/skate helmets are designed to absorb a single blow and be discarded.
Skate helmets lessen shock leading to concussions, even if they are not tested/rated for that. Football's issue is different as the helmet leads to more/harder head-first hits.
It is extremely difficult to clean up and heal surrounded by the problems of the city (drugs, violence, lack of entry level jobs & housing) but services are concentrated in city...
What is Racist is that Boeing is using perceptions about foreign airlines to shift blame and scapegoat... when clearly Boeing was the party trading safety for profit here. Boeing, "the Americans", knew and did nothing. There is no evidence that more flight time or experience would have changed the outcome. Who has 5,000 hrs of MCAS fuck up protocol? Sometimes those with less experience handle new technology better.
The 2nd crash would have been prevented by Boeing listening to the American Airlines pilots’ union call to ground the MAX after the 1st crash. You can't put this one on foreign pilots, when American pilots called for grounding the MAX.
Other airliners w/ large turbofans have a pitch-up under climb/thrust characteristics. (like B777) We don't know if 737 MAX's pitch-up stall handling characteristics are really bad -or- just different from older 737's. MCAS was put in place to allow the MAX to be type certified w/ other 737's so 737 pilots could fly the 737 MAX and vice versa. (Airline pilots can only hold 1 type certification at a time.)
I just flew in a KLM E190 "CityHopper" and the seating was significantly more spacious than recent 737ng experiences. Seat layout allows for large carry ons under the seats. No problem. 2x2 rows means football players don't get stuck in a middle seat. I also noticed the E190 noise level was lower than 737.
There is no evidence (yet) the MAX engines placement "ruin the handling of the aircraft". That's still speculation. Clearly it handles different from other 737 type aircraft which would require a different pilot type certification, which is a big deal and a huge competitive disadvantage vs a320neo.
Look at the Boeing board members. They are responsible for Boeing's current trajectory. Expect Nikki Haley to hold anybody accountable?
Amazing how Boeing was restructured from an engineering & production organization into a political influence machine. Production was spread (and outsourced) from Seattle out to key influential states and HQ moved to Chicago.
There are several respected industry professionals that believe the MAX is inherently unstable (and maybe they have insider information...) but this is not considered "fact" right now. (AFAIK)
MCAS was needed to maintain original 737 type specification which allows 737 pilots to fly any 737... significant operational flexibility & cost savings for airlines.
Commentary from blancolirio who is a current 777 pilot. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zGM0V7zEKEQ&t=0s
I believe Boeing's shift from an "Engineering Culture" to a "Corporate Political Culture" is the root of the issue. https://www.seattletimes.com/business/boeing-aerospace/book-... https://www.forbes.com/sites/stevedenning/2013/01/21/what-we...
Boeing executives shifted focus from engineering to cost-cutting, outsourcing, and moving production & HQ to gain political influence. Moving Corporate HQ from Seattle was to insulate executives from engineering and increase political leverage in DC.
The 80K upgrade was simply a AOA disagree warning light and has zero affect on MCAS behavior. There is no evidence that airlines were told about MCAS until the Lion Air accident.
Yes. Not checking for errors is the feature of the MCAT "solution" which hides the system from pilot's training AND involvement with other 727 system/team engineers. A bureaucratic solution to a marketing problem. I wonder how many programers they had to go though to find it.
We don't know the MAX is inherently unstable. That's still conjecture at this point. MCAS may have altered fight characteristics to match older 737 to avoid additional pilot training. If the MAX is inherently unstable, then this scandal is much bigger and far reaching.
