I have no expertise on the subject or those particular accusations, but generally speaking I feel that a company's response to bad PR is probably not the most trustworthy and objective account of what has happened given their direct involvement in the matter. It seems as a given that they would want to refute it.
I guess if we're going for "weird" tips: Only shop for groceries on a full stomach. I've found it helps me against being tempted to buy unhealthy things (sweets, snacks, soda)

It's somewhat incredible (in a bad way) how far capitalism can go in terms of monetizing everything in people's lives when left unchecked.
I assume making the name of the function they want to eventually get rid of more annoying to type is part of the reason to do this rather than just tracking ones needing replacement.
The reddit thread mentionned in the article [0] is more interesting. Notably it mentions who filed it (OpSecSecurity) and apparently they claim their DMCA process was spoofed.

Not in all cases, but when coupled with the private prison system of the US which is less concerned with rehabilitation and more with the extraction of value from its "residents", you do get a problem.
Having 30-ish (or more) children crammed inside a classroom is not the same as having smaller groups of children play together outside in terms of potential transmission.
There's also teddit.net as an alternative less annoying front-end to reddit. I hope it keeps working for a long time.

I have a git-based wiki, and I've been slowly migrating it to Trilium [0]. There's a certain appeal to having your knowledge base purely contained within a git repo but ultimately having a rich dedicated editor is less of a hassle to me. Setting up the self-hosted syncing is pretty easy as well.
As a CS student in France, I've never actually seen the French version of most of these terms. (A very small subset of them I've used regularly though) Some of these translations also feel wrong: Laptop should probably be translated as 'ordinateur portable' and I've seen people use 'Débogueur' for Debugger, but never 'Dévermineur'. It just sounds weird and isn't coherent with the French translation for bug (bogue).

Unity is also a valid choice, but networking is in a weird state right now with the official APIs, so he'd have to use third-party solutions that integrate with Unity (such as Photon, MLAPI or Mirror). It's not the biggest obstacle, but still an annoyance.
Can confirm, you just need to look at the networking APIs to see the same pattern. The new API isn't ready yet but the HLAPI of UNet is already deprecated and even though LLAPI is getting deprecated later than originally anticipated there's no guarantee the replacement will be usable by that time. At the moment your best bet for networking is to look for third-party solutions (Photon, etc...). It's such a mess.
Blender has a great Python API[0] that allows you to do almost everything that you could do in the editor with code. You do have to run your code from inside the Blender app though.

I like sifting through Simon Carless' blog on Gamasutra [0]. He has a weekly curated list of interesting articles he's read about video games. I rarely read all of them, but there's usually at least a few interesting ones in the lot.

While "feumme" is possible I think it would have gotten too close to the original "femme" word pronunciation-wise (which is a very common word itself), which isn't what you want when you're looking for something that differentiates your speech from others.
Might be just me, but I was expecting the examples to be a bit more fleshed out than they actually are based on the title. A bit disappointed.
Most likely because Singapore is not also putting huge amount of people in detention camps and harvesting their organs. Maybe if they had the scale to do so they would, but that's not really the question when it comes to public opinion.

My immediate thought went to benchmarks. Some of them get stale pretty fast. Nice to have a name to put on that concept.
Just because another profession is worse off doesn't mean it does not deserve sympathy imo. Why not hope for both professions' working conditions to improve ? On a side note, unionization is gaining traction amongst game devs, which will hopefully bring some (very needed) changes within the profession.
And a lot poorer overall, which certainly doesn't help. GDP(PPP) per capita for India was 7874 in 2018. Versus 41351, 44227 and 53023 for South Korea, Japan and Taiwan respectively. These countries that manage their high population density pretty well are also much smaller (Japan is around 10 times smaller than India) and it is much easier to optimize/organize on a smaller scale.

All your data in China collected at will to be shared with all entities of the Chinese government and potentially any private company it owns feels more like a really fast and aggressive ramp-up than a slow strangulation to me.
I am aware that China has had no qualms to rig the game in its favor so far. Those measures would take it up on a whole new level though. I'm just not sure how many companies will be willing to abide by having almost all the data from their operations in China available to the government, unless they don't have other viable options, even though these might be a lot more expensive.
If such policies are truly enforced, there seems to be little to stop China from stealing absolutely all the technical know-how of a foreign company installed there and supplant it with one of their own later on. It really feels like they're pushing how much companies are willing to bear to get access to China's market and manufacturing capabilities to the limit.
