They are trying to quickly end the war, it’s Russia who’s prolonging it on purpose. Russia attacked with 1 against 4 in manpower, and is completely fine with the war lasting for a long time.

We now see how western powers are forcing Ukraine to do devastating counter offensives that will lead to quicker defeat. And even then I think Russia will take its time.

We’re approaching a 10 year long business cycle where cheap energy is everything, and Russian’s know that. There is no way out without huge money printing to replace Russian energy, all the while we finished biggest money printing cycle in our lifetimes.

Russia waited since 2014 and chose a best time. Europe will fold sooner or later.

but at the end of the day the corps doing this are taking crappy properties and renovating them. They want to fix it up and resell it or charge higher rents than the current owners.

Could it be the reason that those properties are too expensive for a regular Joe to fix up because of investors in the first place.

Housing was/is directly affected by Covid supply shortage.

Cars, chips, energy, supply shocks etc are what’s causing all this increase in CPI. I would even say there’s not much (monetary) inflation, on the contrary, deflation of the USD might break the system.

You should compare Ukraine to Cuba, not Vietnam. You know, when US almost nuked Cuba and USSR just because Cuba is too close for comfort? Sort of like Ukraine is for Russia?
