This is what I've seen basically. Some companies meet the requirements of the law technically by putting a HUGE range like "75,000USD - 310,000USD". I would argue this is disingenuous by employers, but that is a problem with the law as written based on my understanding.

Bullshit. It's pretty common for young women to consent to do porn and then after the fact (weeks, months, years later) decide that they shouldn't have. If you sign a contract, you've signed a contract and need to abide by it. I'm of course against non-consensual stuff, but don't cry "I was a victim" later on because you've had a change of heart.

The other unfortunate reality of sex work is that women "busted" by law enforcement are of course going to claim their trafficked when it gets them out of a legal bind.

The root cause of all this a puritanical western society using the power of the state to impose their morals on others. What consenting adults do among themselves, even if for compensation, is nobodies business besides those involved ... and CERTAINLY shouldn't be illegal. So many of us are still conflating sex work with "human trafficking" ... and are party to the PERCEIVED problem by not understanding it can be legitimate work.

Sex work is legitimate work. They should not be shame and pushed to the fringes as we do here in the US, both by power of state and morality. I cringe at the number of people, mostly women of course, who are going to lose their livelihood because of "virtual Karens" imposing THEIR moral beliefs on others via power of the state.

What an absolute shame. Not particularly because I use OF, but because they feel the need to do this, due to public pressure, pressure from banks, etc. When are we going to stop moral policing (literally via power of the state and figuratively) consensual adult activities?

Production of batteries is the constraint ... previously, currently, and in foreseeable future (<5-8 years). Simply don't have the capacity to make 100% EVs.

Further, given this capacity, the numbers work out such that we are, on the macro level, DRASTICALLY more fuel efficient and environmentally friendly by putting more hybrids and Plug-in Hybrids (which have fewer batteries) on the road than we are by reserving said batteries for fewer pure EVs.

When battery technology and production capacity are NOT the constraint, then pure EV will make sense.

All cars should be mandated hybrid soon (or all manufactures must meet a minimum hybridization level across their line ... sort of like fuel efficiency standards are measured today). All cars should be mandated Plugin Hybrid at some point after that. Maybe someday, we can mandate Pure EV.

Those foreclosures you speak of are forthcoming over remaining part of this year and next year. The foreclosure moratorium and government mandated "you don't have to pay your mortgage payment during COVID" is ending and stupid people are in for a rude awakening when they realize that a year of mortgage payments are now due (in addition to their ongoing monthly payment). It is going to be interesting, few are talking about it.

Same goes for rent moratorium. Do people think that their landlord is just going to forget the 1 year of rent they didn't pay because "they didn't have to"?? Evictions are going to sky rocket and rentors are going to be sued in numbers we may have never seen before.

Seems to me that anybody looking for a job would do a cost of living evaluation in addition to what their potential salary is and decide accordingly. This isn't rocket science folks.

In regards to employers, raise pay if can't get workers. Employees will come when they can live on the pay.

I remember in the late 80s when I started professionally ... the impending obsolescence of the programmer due to 4GL code generators was upon us. Those stinking edge cases though. Where 90% of the problem/requirement can be addressed by said tools, but the final 10% (the part that really matters) can't. I'm not so sure we are any closer now than we were then. Needless to say, I've had a fruitful career.

I'm reading she essentially agreed to a contract in the form of the "team rules" and then violated those rules for which she was held accountable. This isn't a free speech issue, it is a contractual issue.
